Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaa, Afari Djan on the ropes !
Dr. Afari Djan, the self-acclaimed god of elections, currently finds himself between a rock and a hard place.
The noose around his neck is getting tighter and tighter with ever lie that spews out of the mouth of the Tilapia fish-farmer.
The chief returning officer of elections in Ghana is today claiming never to have heard what 'pdf'(portable document format)means.
Lucky for Afari Djan, the NPP will teach him what pdf is all about today for free.
We shall make every NDC foolsoldier see the gargantuan stealing prowess of Afari Djan.

When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

As we wait for the judgement to be pronounced, I call on ALL who have Ghana at heart to start a vigorous campaign to educate NPP and NDC supporters on the need to maintain the peace of the country after the verdict.
I challenge each Ghanaweb contributor (news presenters, feature article writers and people like me and you who react to postings here) to endeavour to educate and convince 3 ordinary Ghanians on the need to keep the peace.
Again, between now and after the verdict let's endeavour to add a message of peace to every postings we do here, and TONE DOWN THE POLITICAL AND TRIBAL SENTIMENTS. Perhaps we can decide to SUSPEND ALL HATE MESSAGES, until Ghana is well over the verdict.
Remember, there's no better place than home, Ghana. With all its challenges, the country remains one of the most beautiful and peaceful in the world, I dare say. I remember having to walk alone from Osu to Mamprobi around 2am one night, and never got confronted by anyone or anything. Do you check that?

Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia have indeed shown the way forward for Ghana's democracy. I'm a staunch NPP and even though i have a litany of reason why i want NPP to win this case, the salient among them is that it will set a precedent for all aggrieved electoral candidates that feel cheated to seek due process and expect an equitable verdict from the courts. This will be unprecedented in Ghana's history. Based on the evidence presented to the court, unless the Justices have already compromised themselves at the bench, the NPP is coming on top. If NPP wins, Ghana may eventually have to setup some sort of electoral dispute court that will be tasked with resolving all electoral matters in the country. I recommend such a court be filled with unbiased, fair justices and not the likes of Kpegah and others. If this can be done that will be a significant progress for Ghana's democracy. Once again, congrats to nana Akuffo Addo and Dr Bawumia for pursuing this route in lieu of massive demonstration that could have caused massive destruction and deaths.

Ato,my question to you is simply this. Will it be lawful for the Supreme Court to declare the 12 million votes of ghanaians who exercised their right to vote to be null and void and declare Akuffo-Addo winner of the presidential elections?I believe in law and order but not at the expense of legalities. And i do not agree with you that the petitioners should be congratulated for going to the Supreme Court to challenge the presidential results. It has polarized the nation and opened the enmity gulf between the NPP and the NDC.As the TUC rightly said it has undermined the progress of the economy. It has created a'wait and see attitude' in the country.

Mr.Kwabena, you are absolutely right with your arguement. However, mr. Ato equally entitled to his opinion.Though, the idea of sending the case to court in a way greatly affected the economy. To my understanding about Mr Ato recommendation is that, NPP really deserved to be applauded for challenging the alleged election malpractices, statutory violation and what have you.I think its now clear to the whole world that the new patriotic party indeed has no evidence at all but only pointed out the mere election irregularities which is bound to happened in any election since the electoral commission constitute of human beings. They were mere human errors.Npp will argue that those irregularities went in favour of NDC but they should also not forget that they came to court with the strong holds of the national democratic congress which they claimed to be declared in favour of His excellency, J.D.M.Those mistakes equally happened in their strong holds as well. Why didn't they challenge the whole elections but only challenging some specific polling station results?. Henceforth, they should be recommended for bringing to light the true reflection of the 2012 general election which was peacefully, freely and fair conducted based on which the national democratic congress(NDC)won convincingly.

FROM ALL THAT GHANAIANS SAW ON THE TELECAST NOBODY CAN'T TELL US WHAT THE VERDICT WILL BE. THE LEARNED JUSTICES OF THE SUPREME COURT HAD ALSO THEIR STAND ON THE CHALLENGE CASE AS AFARI GYAN WAS LYING ALL ALONG. HE COULDN'T UNDERSTAND THE pdf, ALSO REFUSING TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS ON THE RESULTS FROM TECHIMN NORTH AND LEDZOKUKU CONSTITUENCIES WHERE FORMAL IRREGULARTIES WERE IN THE OPEN. AFARI GYAN LIED ABOUT HIS INSTRUCTIONS ON THE NVNV, AS HE PROCLAIMED THAT NO VERIFICATION NO VOTE, BUT HE CHANGED HIS CONSTITUTIONAL OBJECTIVE TO ALLOWING SOME PERSONALITIES IN A PARTICULAR COMMUNITY TO VOTE WITHOUT VERIFICATION, A STAND TAKEN BY THE FIRST RESPONDENT PRESIDENT MAHAMA, BUT WHEN THE TAPE WAS PLAYED IN COURT, WE SAW AFARI GYAN SITTING AND SHIVERING IN AWE. EVERY INDICATION ALONG THE LINE SAW THE NPP WINNING THE CASE AS THE EC AND AFARI GYAN COULDN'T PRODUCE THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS TO THE COURT. ESPECIALLY THE NDC WHICH REFUSED FLATLY TO PRODUCE ALL THE ORIGINAL PINK SHEETS TO THE COURT TO SUBSTANTIATE THE COLLATION FROM THE EC AND AFARI GYAN. AS A RESULT WE SAY HERE THAT AKUFFO HAD BEEN VINDICATED OUTRIGHT AND THE CONSTITUTION HAD WON THE DAY THROUGH THE SUPERIOR COURT. KWAKU KYERETWIE KUMASI-KAJETIA.

Why is it that the minority elite and middle class preach peace whilst the majority poor and unemployed dont care if there is war or violence. We have been very selfish in our way of doing things. The rich was to secure/safeguard/retain their wealth so they preach peace!!we can only have peace if instead of paying individuals 50+ million cedis erronously such monies are channeled into visible poverty alleviation ventures. Why is there regular surfacing of roads at East Legon when most roads even in the urban areas are yet to see coal tar or laterite. We have to practicalise the equitable distribution of the national cake. it is only then that any noises about peace will find its way down to the common man. The last mass violence in the country was in the early 80's under Jerry Rawlings , after that some kids of very poor people and some relatively poor people became rich and sustained their wealth ever after. WHy should others not quietly be praying for violence!after all he whois down fears no fall! that is why black people have now become suicide bombers , an act which was the preserve of the Arabs. We have to be honest and start bridging the gap between the rich and the poor , we have to cushion the poor through realistic and visible social interventions. We must evolve radical measures at punishing corrupt officials and retrieving stolen funds, people in leadership positions must be modest? why should people below ministerial grade fly business class when the differential between that and an economy class ticket for any Europen route can provide a bore hole for a village. The utterances of Jerry RAWLINGS of June 4 and 31st December are relevant today!!It is not the decision of the supreme court per se that will cause any violence in this country, injustice has created a ballooned violence just waiting to explode with the slight catalyst. We need some honesty in leadership and equity in the country and surely we the above average guys can have our peace and retain our wealth!!Liberia was waiting to explode, it exploded, Sierra leone was waiting to explode, it exploded, Cote Ivoire was waiting to explode, it exploded. Why do we see less of these explosions in Europe ??simply because the governments are reasonably responsible and answerable to their people and the checks and balances ensure that embezzelment and corruption is minimised. When caught the punishmment is severe to ensure it is not repeated. WHAT DO WE SEE IN OUR COUNTRY!!!
