I congratulate all who were involved in this case for bringing it to a successful ending.

However, I see the real battle ahead, with the pronouncement of the verdict. Are Ghanians ready to take in good faith the verdict as would be pronounced by the good justices?

Of course, we should be able to accept and live with the verdict, for the simple reasons that:
1. In all battles it is one faction who wins. Where nobody could be declared winner, an amicable solution is found

2. The loser has only about 3 years to make a come back, and only needs to start working hard after the verdict.

From today until the final verdict comes out, I suggest that all political parties, religious institutions, NGOs and all who have Ghana at heart, COME OUT FORCEFULLY TO EDUCATE ALL ON HOW TO ACCEPT DEFEAT AND HOW TO JUBILATE. The peace of the country is at stake!

Chronicling the events that unfolded during his incarceration, Ken Kuranchie has expressed doubt about the civilization of the country. He said: "we have no right to call ourselves civilized people.”. In his view, Ken Kuranchie, Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Searchlight, explained his 10-day prison experience after being declared contemptuous of court following a publication in his newspaper, said: "Ghanaians have no right to call themselves “civilized people.”

I do not think that the NDC is that stupid. If the SC declares a run-off, it would have to be the candidates that participated in the actual election. They cannot change horses in the middle of the stream.

The petitioners proved breach of statutory demand that every pink sheet must be signed by presiding officers : in fact more than enough were found to satisfy that demand. Irregularities, the second set of elements required were also proven with over-voting, miscounting, voting without biometric verification and padding serial numbers. Unquestionably, the petitioners did a good detective work whose revelations were met with strong opposition from the respondents - an effort which glaringly connoted attempt to prevent the truth from reaching the floor.

The most pathetic part came at the closing session with a dimunitive Dr Afari Djan battered into submission to admitting so many irregularities backed by his own recorded voice which emphatically called for annullment of so many votes which fell under his own rules as he was asked to admit infraction after infraction, sheets after sheets.

The spectacle was that of distaste.

I think that Addison is disrespectful in the way he spoke at the court but on sober reflection I sympathize with him. He scratched the whole world to make a case. Sometimes the data given him was faulty and he tried to make sense out of it, including a few lies. The judges were quite sympathetic towards him like even allowing him to tender a strange document which he strangely withdrew. But on the last day his tension went high. He tried to score some last minute points but AFARI Gyan wouldn't allow him. On the whole it came clear that there some problems with the elections. This is understandable when you are dealing with election officers who are not hundred per cent literates. But all said done, the irregularities discovered were not of a magnitude that would cancel the entire elections. On this I can swear my entire life. The respondents are fully aware of this and that is why they allowed the petitioners to raise all kinds of objections especially towards the end. In fact they wanted a quick end so that they can present their arguments which I believe they have drafted long ago. The judges I believe have also made up their minds and allowed Addison to get away with certain things. In that way they will not be accused of bias if in the end they decide against the,petitioners. Recall that about two or three weeks ago the supporters of the petitioners started insulting the judges alleging that they were bias. Finally you should have observed the body language of Nana Akuffo Addo in court yesterday. He seems to sense the outcome of the case and therefore was not amused by all those lawyers hugging each other and congratulating themselves. He saw the Flagstaff so far away. His sleeping place will not change yet. He will not be president of Ghana.

Look at how Addison ignored the rulings and proceeded to do his 'own thing' today. An invitation by the court for Dr. Gyan to tell it what his checks revealed was allowed by to be used for totally different purposes!
One female Justice in particular,took it upon herself to 'clamp' down on lawyers for the respondents while Addison misbehaved by ignoring all laid down procedures. Why was he trying to use material not in evidence to cross-examine the EC Chairmam?
The truth of the matter is that Addison failed miserably, and was nuable to lay not even a glove on Dr. Afari Gyan with all those useless questions and suggestions he put to the witness today.
For any open-minded persons who followed the proceedings in their entirety,we saw all the 'problems' the petitioners who brought the matter to court created for themselves. The tremendous pre-trial spin the petitioners engaged in, with all the powerpoint demonstrations,was the cause of their downfall.
At no point were they able to dispute any of the open declarations of results at the various polling stations across the lenght and breath of this country. The lawyers representing the petitioners were unable to proof that the December 2012 presidential election was not won at the polling station!

My simple reason is that Npp filed a wrong petition,selective and amateurish.The Electoral Commission does not declare results based on solely pink sheets,that is the handicap which will not be taken lightly by the judges.As a matter of fact,the collated results are what the EC uses to declare results everywhere in the world.I cannot fanthom why npp did not use any collated results to back their claims.All the figures Addison paraded in court are unfounded,not on the official results gazette,so how do you justify mysterious figures when the judges decide to cross check them?The second reason is that the pink sheets are not reliable,they go through the Collation Centres for corrections by the Returning Officers before reaching the EC's Headquaters in Accra.Therefore,it's a gross error to put all your hope in them.Besides,the Returning Officers are more qualified than the Presiding Officers,their accounts are more efficient so to speak.
All the results we see on the EC's website came directly from collation sheets but not pink sheets.Globally,the petitioners attacked the EC on the wrong side.What they did was to attack the electoral system itself but not the results that is why they shun the collated results they have.They did a selective petition in a bad faith and that will cause their defeat.If you want true justice you must not play hanky panky,over to you.Thank you.

Folks, it is as simple as 'ABC', the worse scenario will be SC asking for a rerun of election for those places; but guess what? Mistakenly, they are all NDC strongholds. So make your own conclusion.

There is one thing I know, time after time, that nothing can work for mankind without God. We should never expect any president or whosoever to make our country peaceful and great; or to bring semblance at least of peace and order into this world - without first, respecting God. You see people rushing, cursing, struggling to vote for a leader, all in the name of "change and better economy." What have you achieved through them, if it has not been God? I do not care who becomes a president or who is a president; I only respect them as leaders but do not hope and trust in them.

It looks funny to me when men toil with frantic efforts to do something for man or for each other. What is wrong to have a leader? What is wrong to have a king? What makes it wrong is that, the leaders do not recognize that they are in charge of God's people and should be careful of what they do. They only care about their pockets, and what they will get. They do not care what happens to you or your generation: these cannot be real leaders - period.

God, man or the devil: these are the three possible sources of hope. But God has planned this strategically in order that these questions shall be answered, once and for all, in the presence of all created beings whether human, celestial or infernal. Human history of presidents and kings, especially in Ghana, is the record of the attempts of man and Satan to do something for man. When asked why an omnipotent God permits the holocaust of human history, the answer from the Word of God must be that He permits it in order to demonstrate to the universe that neither Satan nor man can do anything for themselves or for each other.

There are so many things which the leaders in Ghana and in this world can do, from God's point of view, to help others as a nation God would be proud of, but it is not that they cannot - it is that the will not. Originally, man was not created with power, but Satan was created with power, God gave power to Satan but not to man. Our being in God makes us superior over Satan and makes us move through this world of chaos and troubles, with full hope in God alone. When man is given power, he tends to do this in his own way, instead of God's way, and because he is not gifted with power, Satan comes in to dictate how to use the power. It has been like this, and it will continue until we get the understanding that, no leader can do anything good for us until we remain and focus on God.

It is okay to have a leader or have leaders. But it is unwise to think that they have something to offer if they are not thinking and doing things from God's point of view.

I, therefore, challenge you all to hope and trust in God alone, and pray for the leaders. You have life ahead of you, and, remember, you have generations coming. We are all created by one God, but we will answer differently to same God. If you trust and hope in God alone, these leaders might do things to even make things hard, God will still take care of you: there could be great famine, but those in God will eat the fattest of the land. Take care, and know that God is on your side.
