2. That Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo the 1st Petitioner here-in rather was validly elected President of the Republic of Ghana.
3. Consequential Orders as this Court may see fit.
These are what the trio has asked the Supreme Court to do, but nothing else.The Supreme Court would only do what they have been asked to do after listening to the arguments of both the Petitioners and the Respondents.
The Petitioners have not provided any evidence of 'stuffing' of ballot boxes before the elections,changing of Results on Pink Sheets after the elections and before transferring unto collation sheets,nor any medium used in intercepting collation sheets and changing results before they get
to the EC strong room.In essence what Nana Akufo Addo is saying is that,if we open all the 26,002 sealed ballot boxes and re-count the ballots, the results would be the same as those declared by Dr. Afari Djan so they would not go there!.Therefore what is the evidence placed before the Supreme Court?Duplicate Serial numbers on Pink Sheets (and so what?, were they used to perpetrate fraud? The reality is that, nobody can become president in Ghana if the electorates do not vote for him or her. In other words if the EC does not declare you winner of an election, the wisest thing to do is to prepare for the next election rather than waste everybody's time in a useless petition.

The on going election petition is really costing the nation both in notional terms and real teerms.And in this cases it is the ordinary man who bears the brunt.Recently,ex-parliamentarians had to be paid end-of-service benefits whether the state had money or not. How many public servants are paid end-of-service benefits? Salary and allowances for public servants mentioned in the 1992 Constitutions including president and his vice, parliammentarians, justices of the courts etc had to be increased when the president approved the increase. How much did the ordinary person got?
Investors are holding themselves , waiting for the resolution of the ongoing petition. No matter how difficult the conditions in the country the politicians and the elites will not be affected so much like the ordinary person. The time has come for the ordinary persons to talk and insist on their rights. We must make critical inputs into national lives. God will not come from heaven to do the things we are to do.He expects us to play our roles whiles He also play His.
The whole country should insist that our electoral process should go through serious reforms which will guarantee sanity and approval by all and sundry irrspective of the cost. It is cheaper in the final analysis consireing what is happening currently.The sovereignty of Ghana resides in the people and not some group of people.
