It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution...

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN EGYPT WILL DEFINITELY HAPPEN IN GHANA.
IN THE CASE OF GHANA, IT'LL MUCH BLOODIER BECAUSE GHANAIANS ARE JUST FED UP WITH THE RULING CLASS LOOTING GHANA WITH IMPUNITY.
MANY GHANAIANS HAVE NOW REALISED THAT THE SHORT CUT TO RICHES IS TO GO INTO POLITICS OR HOLD A BIG POST IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE, AND THAT'S IT.

WHEN YOU HAVE A COUNTRY WHERE THE VAST MAJORITY OF ORDINARY POOR GHANAIANS, EXCEPT POLITICIANS, ARE YEARNING FOR A MILITARY TAKE-OVER BECAUSE OF THE RAMPANT PILLAGING, WITH IMPUNITY, OF THE ECONOMY BY THE LEADERSHIP, THEN YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT'S LIKELY TO HAPPEN IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE.

you cannot have a situation where everyone in a country is pleased by the with the govt. if they came to power by election then many (all the opposition) will be against that govt. if the grivances of the opposition are not addressed through the proper channels but by demostration, then you end up with an impossible situation, ungovernable. this is a vicious cycle. and believe me the next president of egypt will suffer the same consequencies unless the proper channels are found to address differences rather than tahir square

It is rather very unfortunate that several years now Egypt have not had a permanent leader. AU shoould intervene to restore constitutional rule in that country in order to save Egyptians from constant military dictatorship.

They say democracy, the man was elected democratically, so if there is anything others do not like, it is all just a matter of time. Four years minus one is not too important than human lives.
The man is even willing to form a united government and find a way forward.
This is a very bad precedence and will offer opportunity for the country and perhaps other countries to do same over and over.
In effect, what will happen is chaos all over the place.
It is really a sad situation and something Ghanians must learn a lesson from.
This, is just the beginning of a very bad ending.
