Even though the supreme court judges deferred to the lower courts to decide on Woyome, they fired a critical salvo against lawyers in the cases- Peasah Boadu for Waterville, Osafo Buabeng for Woyome, Tony Lithur for Austro Invest and maybe Ekow Awoonor who acted as sole mediator between parties with then AG Betty Mould Iddrissu.
The counsel for John Mahama,Tony Lithur, at the supreme court election petition case was part of the woyome scam that stole millions of Euros from Ghana. This is SICK- NDC must go".

The shadows we cast today will come and hunt us one day and I am pretty sure that people like Ablakwa will one day pay for their heartless and selfish deeds perpetuated against the state. We will all be judged one day for what we use our knowledge for but please MANU, do not talk about National Security. Were they not in Ghana when a member of the communication team for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Gabby Asuming declared that if the nine judges rule in favour of the petitioners and make Nana Addo president there will be civil war in Ghana? What have they done to Gabby? Owusu Bempah only spoke against late President Mills' wife and he was arrested. Kennedy Agyapong spoke angrily in reaction the the then happenings at Odododioodo constituency and was arrested and charged with treason, high treason, genocide, terrorism among others. KAKRA ASAMOAH spoke on Asempa fm and openly said that if NPP wins the election 2012 petition, he will support a coup to overthrow Nana Addo but the so-called National did not react. GABBY ASSUMENG says if NPP win the case there will be civil war in Ghana and again the so-called National Security has failed to act. The so-called National Security is more of a party-towing organisation than seeking national interest. They are practicing a divide and rule tactics. What a shame. I weep for Ghana.

Lets be a bit patroitic and support what is good for the Country and stop putting parties first before Ghana.
The SC has ruled that the monies were paid wrongly,so anybody involved who helped pay that money should be held responsible,in the intetrest of Ghana.
If the Government feels these mistakes were caused by the previous Government, they should take them to court.

"If the Government feels these mistakes were caused by the previous Government, they should take them to court."
Kwaa, you know very well that even if a law exists to inculpate the previous government for wrong-doing it would never work. You and I know how much the country is been offended; how many people are brought before the courts? It will never happen. So they will continue to perpetrate such stupid deal without being scratched on the skin for once.
What I endeavored to put across was that the first step - in a case like that involving a previous government and Waterville - should not have been initiated in the first place. The government is the first in line to defend the laws and or uphold it. Let's take it this way:
You are my friend and you invite me to a feast. Later should I be accused when you're charged of having stolen the goat you used in the festivities? Should I go asking about where you got the goat before I eat it? In fact this analogy doesn't really respond to all the facts of this case but clearly it is very bad for our governments to behave this way when the knew they should NOT at all engage contracts unless it went before parliament.
It shows there was a deliberate intention to conceal the contents of the deal.
What is stupid in this is NDC's position in pushing government's penchant in the payment. It makes all of them, NPP and NDC just exactly equal to themselves; thieves.

So why are you trying so hard to bring in the NPP. CAN 2008 was just in sight and the govt under the npp was in hurry to get the stadia built. so it was understandable to have it done the way they did with the intent to the get the contracts regularised later on. But be it as it may, do the ndc govt have the moral right to pay them for no work done??? The case was ruled on morality and legality. Look we had a whole dep attorney general saying Ghana did not have a defence and that is why they did not enter a defence. Can you imagine that???? Leaders into whose hands we have entrusted our resources to manage for us? And you are trying to equalize what??????

So, when would some of you stop making apologies for Kufuor’s mismanagement and failure as fabled loud-mouthed morning canticleer, to stick to his campaign manifesto and slogans, the first of which was “Zero Tolerance for corruption?”
I thought NPP touted its hoards of knowledgeable elites who knew everything. I can hardly understand that haste could push a government to dodge its responsibilities or fail to see it, so why should anyone have confidence in them. There is nothing like haste/hurry in signing international contracts when they have to do with the economy and the future of the country. Kufuor signed so many shaddy contracts that obviously sidestep constitutional provisions requiring parliamentary perusal and approbation and it was evident the sole reasons for doing so was just the century-old selfish caprice of politicians.
I am against NDC which condoned in pushing for payment of judgment debts but it is sooooo stupid for governments to dodge the laws and do what will cost it for any reasons at all.

At every oppotunity, these guys want to take advantage of their positions to get rich at the expence of the State Ghana. This is really madness,we are in the year 2013
,i thought this new generation of politicians will do something which will change the dynamics of politics in this Country for better. But they are worse than the old gaurds.
How can people be so greedy and selffish?

For these guys is,what they will get from the Country not what they can give the Country.

Kwao, Ghana did sign a contract with Waterville and this made the government at the time gave it green lights to start execution of some of the projects under the agreement. What provoked the termination of the contracts was unknown but it was understood financial implications at the time of the contract was different to what government discovered later with Chinese and the realisation that substantial profits could be made by swapping contractors.
No matter what anyone thinks of it, it is quasi impossible for a foreign company to claim judgement debts in another country without having done any jobs at all. There are whole lots of things weird with the agreement and the shoddy legal framework undertaken to cover it all.
It still beats me that so many people in Ghana could be so unpatriotic and stupid enough to want to manage our resources as if it were a kind of child's game.

Vuvuzela, you conveniently forget the grounds on which the contract with Waterville was abrogated. You alone know the reason why to date you are not aware of the two conditions precedent that Waterville was unable to meet. You are also the only one who is not aware that the contract covered the rehabilitation of Baba Yara and Ohene Djan stadia, in addition to the construction of new ones. You also appear to be the only one who is not aware that Waterville started work on the rehabilitation of our two major stadia, so when the Kufuuor Government legally and rightly abrogated the contract, they had to pay Waterville for work done. Incidentally, Waterville settled Woyome out of that payment so he had no business suing the government.
Those of us who care have seen the documents relting to the abrogation of the contract, and know that the government acted within its rights.
Do you not find it curious that by their own admission, Waterville concluded everything with the Kuffuor government, only to surface to take Ghana to court when NDC took over from NPP?
If you want to be patriotic, please take off your blinkered and politically skewed glasses. You will see things in their right perspective, and be objective. Have a good day.

A Charlotte, North Carolina man, having purchased a box of 24 rare and very expensive cigars, insured them against... fire. Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of fabulous cigars, and having yet to make a single premium payment on the policy, the man filed a claim against the insurance company.
In his claim, the man stated that he had lost the cigars in "a series of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason: that the man had consumed the cigars in a normal fashion. The man sued, and won.
In delivering his ruling, the judge stated that the man held a policy from the company in which it was warranted that the cigars were insurable. The company, in the policy, had also guaranteed that it would insure the cigars against fire, without defining what it considered to be "unacceptable fire," and so, the company was obligated to compensate the insured for his loss. Rather than endure a lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the judge's ruling and paid the man $15,000 for the rare cigars he had lost in "the fires."
However, shortly after the man cashed his check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of arson. With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case used as evidence against him, the man was convicted of intentionally burning the rare cigars and sentenced to 24 consecutive one-year prison terms.

These culprits who hide behind the ineffective and inefficient prosecution of scandals know that lack of record keeping in Ghana gives them undue advantage claiming empty "vindication" a la Ablekwah. How would any investigator build a case when auditing is practically non-existent and inept. We are still writing receipts on papers and putting very important documents in personal office drawers while government spends tens of thousands of dollars to purchase Toyota Land Cruisers for public officials for use by the same looters of our resources. In the twenty-first century, our leaders have not deem it exceedingly necessary to computerize our national financial dealings and all other things pertaining to the running of our government. And because of this misplaced priorities, public officials like Ablekwah can claim innocence because he knows there is no way anything can be traced to him.Oh but there is ....follow the money.
Lets take a keen look at how these so called public servants mushroom into wealth immediately they win power.I bet none of them would be able to reconcile their attainment of wealth with their official salaries. When called upon to explain how they've jumped from scraps to opulence when their party wins elections, our nation would be able to ascertain whether or not their spike in standard of living is legitimate. Our investigators should simply follow the money to silence the Ablekwahs of the Ghanaian political world.ITS THAT SIMPLE!!!

What is this moron saying to the good people of Ghana? Everything proves that he was the catalyst in all the fraudulent judgement payments of NDC during Mills-Mahama administration. For not mentioning your name in the judgement does not exonerate you from any wrong done. You know too well that you stole money enough by way of this judgement debt payments to purchase two houses in the United States, 9 separate filling stations in Ghana and that you are counted among the richest people in Ghana. Ofuigyato has always mentioned God's name as if he believes in God, forgetting so well that he has only one more month to go to jail. As the name suggests, this fool will go to jail very very soon so I keep my fingers crossed.

By the way if the NPP was as keen to LOOT as you and your fellow NDCs are, would they go through the trouble of enacting a PROCUREMENT LAW to try to protect the state? Go and read the judgement. If the NPP recklessly abrogated contracts, those judgementdebts would have been upheld. My advise to you is this, if you truely believe what you yourself are saying, try prosecuting the NPP officials who caused the debts. I can assure you those who looted will be prosecuted.

Mr. Ablakwa, the fact that you have rushed to write this statement does not change anything you did or said. This is similar to a thug who assaults someone and rushes to the police station to report an assault against his person hopping the police would buy his story because he was the first to report. No one is spinning anything, instead, you are rather spinning the obvious to achieve your selfish end. We are all aware of what you said and I am not going to repeat it here. You still do not understand simple statement that these folks did not have a CONTRACT. You are trying to twist the supreme court's statement that no parliamentary approval, no contract, to your advantage. That was not your position at the time. Your position at the time was that the previous govt. awarded and abrogated a contract and so this company needs to be paid in time to avoid interest payments. The previous govt. also was insisting there was no contract signed. There is a difference between bidding and being awarded ACTUAL CONTRACT. And now you want to bring Nana Akuffo Addo in here to justify your corrupt actions. If there was actual contract SIGNED and was abrogated, then Nana Addo's supposedly statement is then justified. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? You are now, repeating yourself here that the previous govt. awarded a contract without parliamentary Approval and later abrogated it. YOU STILL DON'T GET IT. Do not try to fool anybody here, guy.
