The president need to put these ministers on their toes.Regular interactions with them will keep them alert. These meetings should be done at any time to bring the element of surprise in the president's interactions with his meetings.
Ghanaians voted for the president and the ministers are in their positions are the discretion of the president, even though their payments are done by the taxpayer. This is where the citizens come in. The citizens have a stake in the work of the ministers.
Many of these ministers are young and should be exuberant though thay may not have the experience on their jobs. This is where I thought the president was limited; he should have combined experience with exuberance to make a perfect pair but he chose to go for only exuberance.
I was among those who defended the president to keep the same ministers at their portfolio after calls from CEPA and IMANI to rescheful the government just after the president took over on the death of late Professor Mills. We defended his position to maintain them since any change will rock the ''boat'' at that time. The reshuffle should be gradual.

All a corrupt minister needs doing to pursue their corrupt activities till he get found out which when he meet Mahama, by which time our millions would have been shifted to some overseas anonymous bank.
And the next minister would follow suit. This goes to show how little Mahama is equipped to lead Ghana.
We need mechanisms that prevent these potentially corrupt ministers from getting their dirty hands on our scanty money in the first place.
Even if this is good, is he telling Ghanaians that that was not the case under the Mils-Mahama period?
