  Unfortunately, Hon Amidu, this is the reality of our present political environment. Perhaps a fruit of the 31st December Revolutions of which you were unfortunately a senior memeber, when juniors rose up, rightly or wrongly, against their seniors and became heros.
  
  Sociologists may well regard this phenomenom as a contributing factor to the present change in our social values relating to respect.

  Even though the supreme court judges deferred to the lower courts to decide on Woyome, they fired a critical salvo against lawyers in the cases- Peasah Boadu for Waterville, Osafo Buabeng for Woyome, Tony Lithur for Austro Invest and maybe Ekow Awoonor who acted as sole mediator between parties with then AG Betty Mould Iddrissu.
  The counsel for John Mahama,Tony Lithur, at the supreme court election petition case was part of the woyome scam that stole millions of Euros from Ghana. This is SICK- NDC must go.

Amidu is a senior since PNDC time, so he is among the elders who have breed these disrespectful youth and now he is at a receiving end. so he is part of NDC seniors who has pampered this uncultured attitude, though Homesence agree with Amidu.

  In today's Ghanaian political culture, it is a crime to be knowledgeable, experienced, and elderly. It is now the era of youthful, uncouth, verander boys. The political culture of insults has undermined the cherished Ghanaian values of humility, respect and decorum. Mediocrity has now been institutionalized in the conduct of the affairs of the government.It is sad indeed. Ghana is going down, and must be saved. For example, how can a whole deputy minister tell complaining importers that they could go to Togo and conduct their business there? Is this the NDC definition of democracy?
  The Golden Age of the youth indeed!!!

  It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution...

When was the last time you heard a single public official, fighting to retrieve money that has been disbursed by some thieves? Look, Martin is doing a yeoman's job and he not doing it for himself but for the nation. He is a hero and he love his country. Permit me to congratulate on your recent victory for the country, but I think you need to know, in case those closest to you have never told you, that your attitude is simply not acceptable. I have met you in various corridors and I think that you are simply quarrelsome, rude, combative and unacceptably aggresive. With a bit of decorum and less ‘self-absorption’, people will learn to take you seriously. It pays to treat young men like young men; once you lower the bar and respond to petty comments, know that you will be responsible for what comes your way. So a word to the aged is enough.

  This article was written by an experienced, matured individual. I sincerely hope that Ghanaians would take insults and aggression from politics, and learn to give basic respect for their fellow human being, irrespective of political beliefs.
  
  What I would add to the former minister's article is that adults, especially politicians who have access to the media, should exercise restraint in ways in which they exhibit disagreement to another politician's views. We have lost a great deal of decency in public life. Our children are learning from us...what we leave behind, will continue to be with them.
