    Policy-makers please take note of the decline in the economically active population and its implications.

    It could signal a reducing tax base and lower tax revenue with time, and an increasing dependent population.

    Sankofa, you may be theoretically right but Ghana doesn't operate a social welfare system (at least not in practice) so I don't see how the trend could signal an increasingly dependent population.

    Why are you bringing us 2010 stats? What is the situation in 2013 and our projections for 2015 and beyond? We should be futuristic instead of being historic. We need to change, now!

    The active and economic viable population is those kayayoo business Gh is creating for its people. The rural-urban drift is those northern youth that troop to Ksi- Accra to find those jobs.
