  Building a country's infrastructure is NOT the work of a Member of Parliament for the area. The Government MUST have a plan to address drainage for the whole country. Dr. Busia had a plan. Let us borrow from the past

  The drainage system in Accra, as a whole, is deplorable with large exposed and smelly gutters on the main streets. There are open drainage syetem from Kaneshie to Accra central to Osu and the rest of Accra, yet we wonder why people get sick all the time. There is public defecating in the gutters in the night, a clear example was two years ago when I went home with my wife, who's American, and we were taking a stroll on the Ring Road Central near Paloma. Someone, a guy to be exact, was squatting in the gutter and 'freeing' himself and my surprised wife asked what he was doing. I told her what the man was doing and she couldn't believe that someone can defecate openly in a gutter in the country's capital city.
  
  Our government are constantly borrowing money for projects, indebting our country massively, yet no one knows what they do with the money. Some of that money should be used to cover all the opened gutters, which will help prevent some diseases
  
  Every business and store in Accra should be mandated to have a toilet, WC, for their customers. Afterall they make a lot of profit from these shoppers and it's only fair they are forced to use some of it to improve the lives of their customers. In Makola, every three shops should also be mandated to build one water-closet toilet to serve it clients. This will do a lot of good for the country.
