We must use our democratic dispensation responsibly for the good of all our people.
The supreme law of the land is the welfare of our people. What use is democracy when people are having to grapple daily with poverty, lack of basic amenities as potable water, electricity, healthcare and lack of educational facilities?
We need our leaders to put the interest of the suffering masses first before personal selfish interest. We need to promote policies which will help lift people out of poverty into a decent standard of living.
We have the resources and the skills so to do. The National Peace Council must understand that there can be no lasting peace without socio-economic justice.

I am glad Rev. Asante admitted that the peace in Ghana is relative. Anything can happen in the country if we dont seek peace through justice and justice through peace!

Indeed this is a good presentation by a level headed scholar and theologian. Presiding the Methodist Church Ghana is thankful to God for your life. Indeed Ghana is an oasis of Peace.
