The case, which promises to be a significant historical event in Ghana’s legal and political culture, has the petitioners urging the court to
annul 4,670,504 valid votes and subsequently declare the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,
as the one who won the December 2012 elections.
According to them, Nana Akufo-Addo won the elections by 59.69 per cent while President Mahama polled 39.1 per cent.

Pepeni has surrounded himself with political careerists and opportunists with no integrity or moral back bone talk less of true commitment to the welfare of the people they are supposed to serve.the so called BNI told us it was unnecessary to investigate the death of a sitting president but spends time investigating a picture or is the purpose rather political intimidation ? if so let them be reminded the Hague war crimes court will be their end . their actions gives credibility to the picture and proves its true so they are worried how someone could get so close and take that snap shot . we are definitely on a roller-coaster to war as patience has been worn thin and corruption totally soaked all sections of society. it would be much better the country is split up so all these wonderful people the ndc presents to us can be taken eg king jj , tsikata and co rule the volta and greater Accra , pepeni , pv obeng , bagbin and co rule northern and we will dash then sekou and the brong ahafo region with nketia.we would be happy for them that all these incredible idiots rule them forever. Yes, well said, John Mahama, nobody has divine right to rule Ghana and it does not matter where you come from to become the President of Ghana, that is why Dr. Hilla Limann, who was also from the North was elected President of Ghana in 1979 but no Ghanaian protested because he genuinely won the elections. Sadly however, you wanted to claim the Presidency of Ghana as your divine right hence you went to the Upper West and told them to vote for you because you are their brother Northerner. You also worked hand in hand with the Electoral Commission the deny the rightful winner of 2012 election his victory. So you see Ghanaians always respect the rightful winner of an election but not what you just want them to see as a winner by dubious means.
