Castle Boy, are you not one of those that we need? we read Achebe's works, loved and hated some of the characters. Eventually we understood the importance of the roles of the characters and the style of the writer. What has been the effect of Achebe's work. Good Leaders?
Good thinkers? What are we goingto do instead of continually blaming our leaders, instead of doing our part correctly to change things?

We thank God for his life and works; now that he's been recalled to eternity, we pray that the good Lord raise another Chinua Achebe for Africa to continue from where the late had left off.

I have had cause to ask myself this question so many times-'Why do we blame our leaders all the time?' Who selects them and empowers them? Why do the writers and speakers appear so effecient, honest, sincere and better thn the leaders but cannot change nor do anything to bring the change? I am referring to Otoo, Castle boy. Mr figure it out, abotsi etc etc. Are these guys not leaders themselves? From what we read, thereis so much in their minds and in their pens yet ..........

Look around you and see his wisdom and vision. Global warming, deforestation, wars, greed, terrorism, tribalism, disregard of life, anarchy, etc. The center cannot hold indeed and mere anarchy is loosed upon the world. This Noble man really has shapped my life/way of thinking. MR ACHEBE THE GREAT,I thank you and MAY YOU REST IN PERFECT PEACE.
