While public toilets are overflowing in Ghana, no electricity, no water, roads are worn-out, armed robbers everywhere, strikes for non-payments of salaries, this bastard is just talking like he's wooing some women in his village. What example has he shown to impressed those hopeless African who are hailing him?

  What is Mahama saying? Africa should focus on urban development? What then happens to the 70% of Africans who live in the rural areas? Mahama should be told in no uncertain terms that urban development if not balanced by rural development will lead to the urban sprawl he has been complaining about recently. Urban development will result in massive rural out migration to the urban centers that creates backward and forward problems. Forward problems include the development of slums , and shanty towns in urban centers and cities; armed robbery and a whole sleuth of crimes. Backward problems include massive out migration of the younger population with their energy, education and youthful exuberance. The migration of this population to the urban centers leaving old people and children eventually affect agricultural development which is the mainstay of the rural and African economies. Is it then strange that poverty in Africa is synonymous with poverty. I daresay that the three northern regions of Ghana are the leading centers of poverty in Ghana precisely because of what Mahama is now advocating, namely, urban development. The uncomfortable truth is that our brothers from these three regions, after enjoying free university education in the south, refuse to go back to the north. They settle and invest in the south. Mahama is a classic example of this phenomena. I daresay again that until Africa focuses more on rural development, we should forget about any talk or dream of meaningful and sustainable development that is liberating in Africa. Finally, it must be clear by now that what the ignoramus Mahama is advocating is dangerous, not in the best interest of Africa and he must be stopped. Every day, Mahama makes statements that make Ghana a laughing stock in the international community. Or is it the case that he is in dire need of psychological evaluation?
