Is there a moral justification for Bawumia to stand in the witness box and twist the truth, create falsehoods and try to redefine and interpret laws, facts and figures? If that is not serious enough when it is being played out to a global audience, then what is?
Moral decadence is a core feature of our society and I am sure you can make a long list of politicians and other individuals in various institutions who over the decades and certainly in the last 10 years have taken these to a new level. Is it now that you have suddenly realised this?
By the way what is this that we keep hearing about University lecturers and administrators demanding sexual favours from female students and awarding them A grades when all their mates and the students themselves know that some of the female students cannot even write a credible essay. When will Daily Guide go on a m'moral crusade'and focus on exposing and bring things like that to the fore for national debate instead of your partisan, narrow and usually skewed and unhelpful and untruthful publications?
Daily Guide and other similar propaganda newspapers (both NDC and NPP leaning) should start first by cleaning up their own moral decay which has characterised their reporting, then WE THE PEOPLE will support you in a new moral crusade to rid Ghana of this decadence. Will you take up this challenge for once?

Inward-looking Daily Guide relishes all the horribly weird things coming from the NPP and will go the lengths to praise actions like the NPP petition in court when they know it is a waste of time and resources, let alone its being a stupid distraction to lazy Ghanaian workers who already wanted to find a way to get around work.
You have said the essential.

The Daily Guide is not our police department on public morality. They only make comments on their suspicions, public outcry or what they might be privy to . The list could be endless so you cannot expect them to know each one of our peculiar political and social indiscretions. The problem here is that both administration and opposition and their supporters see each other through a conspiratorial paradigm and assume a stoical indifference to matters of national interest and refuse to cooperate.
The other problem is we cannot separate policy from politics. Too much often the murky waters of politics drifts into policy and everything is politics as usual.
The general public perception of this administration is that they're over protective of its appointees and elected officials. What the public expect is not the collapse into deliberate incoherence and the optically displayed cover-ups that treat all of us as a gullible and naive bunch of nincompoops but full scale investigations to unravel the truth. Those found guilty must be punished by the law of the land. That will put inquiring and suspicious minds to rest.In ghana what we see is no job is ever lost, no form of punishment whatsoever is administered if you're a loyal and passionate party activist but murder 10 people or rob the nation of $51m.There are salacious allegations made against high ranking state officials including the president but such allegations are all treated with contempt and swept under the carpet.
The fires from the opposition will be there, regardless, because it's their role to put government on its toes. There's is no need for the administration to pour petrol on the fires or arrogantly dig in their heels.
The government of the day owes a moral responsibility to ghanaians to be circumspect and not frugal with the truth. In the US there are ongoing congressional investigations into the Benghazi terrorist attack and other allegations of impropriety in regard to the actions of some state organizations like the IRS. Some of these came to light through the action of whistleblowers. It does not mean every allegation is true but it's only thorough investigation that gets to the bottom of it and separates political sideshows from truth and reality.
Your call to Daily Guide and similar propaganda newspapers is in order but the greatest responsibility lies on the government of the day to be transparent and neutral when dealing with allegations, true or false that pop up every now and then. The investigations must be done with dispatch. Everything must be looked at with thoroughness to find out how far the food chain this went and punish offenders. This will assuage the fears and suspicions of the public.

Blame the arrogance and "money-by-all-means" attitude of Ghanaians, and also the lack of will to enforce LAWS in the country.
How do you want the country to develop in the kind of indiscipline we eat, drink, dream, speak when the might of the laws can't be made to work?
We have civil codes at workplaces, but who enforces them and makes them apply to individual caprices? We can't just continue to write lengthy articles over time on the same issues that get worse everyday when we demur acting in good-faith in the interest of us all and the posterity. It doesn't make us civilized and knowledgeable, respectful and respectable citizens of the world.
STOP yelling and act!

KUFFOUR ADMINISTRATION WAS DESTRUCTIVE CHARACTERIZED BY BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION OF THE HIGHEST PROPORTION, AND THE DAILY GUIDE WAS PROMOTING THIS APPALLING THE EVIL DEEDS OF THE GOVERNMENT. ALMOST ALL THE BUSINESSES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO GAS STATIONS IN KUMASI BELONG TO NPP MEMBERS OR SUPPORTERS.
NOW ITS THE TURN OF ANOTHER CORRUPT NATIONAL PARTY NDC AND THE DAILY GUIDE FINDS IT PRUDENT TO CRITICIZE THE OFFICIALS SUSPECTED OF TAKING BRIBES
HOWEVER BIASED A JOURNALIST MAY BE WHEN IT COMES TO NATIONAL ISSUES I PRAY THAT WE FIGHT THAT EVIL SQUARELY DEVOID OF PARTISAN WRANGLINGS.
DON'T GET ME WRONG, I APPRECIATE YOUR ATTACK ON THE INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED IN CORRUPT PRACTICES, BUT BE FAIR AND ALSO EXPOSE ASHANTI-AKYEM TRIBAL NPP MEMBERS WHO HAVE BEEN AND CONTINUE TO BE ENGAGED IN CORRUPTION.
WE ALL KNOW THAT ASHANTES AND AKYEMS LOVE AND WORSHIP THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR LIKE THEIR YORUBA COUNTERPART IN NIGERIA, YET THEY ARE THE FIRST TO POINT FINGERS WHEN THEY SEE OTHERS DOING THE SAME THING.

What is your trouble? If you disagree with my comments, simply point out where you disagree wand offer your own perspectives. I have no time for time wasters who have nothing to say except to criticise without offering an opinion. Don't waste my time and that of other more serious readers!

If you want to have a meaningful debate, why don't you start by identifying your self. It is insulting for you to address me as "... or whatever you call yourself..". I happen to use my true name, something the majority of people like you won't do. Why not? Is this part of the slick corrupt society? Nonsense!

The way and manner corruption has become a norm, without any fear of punishment is amazing. Reports go without investigation by state authorities, and in a few instances where they make some noise about investigation, it ends up in a smoke. Public opprobrium continues to increase, and the anger of the masses is palpable. This would erupt sooner than later, unless leadership takes immediate steps to check the corruption and ensure hat the Average Ghanaian has his basic needs. I'm not a prophet of doom, but we need to watch out.
