What exactly ias Akomeahs's problem. You were in government and you adopted your own style of doing things. Someone else is in government and is making reforms to suit his objectives and agenda by his plans and here you come very loud mouth and lamenting why things are not done the way you did it. This is absolute rubbish. You see this attitude of we are the people who know it all is what is killing your party and the antagonizing of the few amongst you who diverging views is what is fast eroding the confidence people have in your party especially because of people like Akomeah. You have pushed a well run election into a court case and now everything is pointing top the fact that you really have no case. Many were expecting clear cut proofs of fraud and rigging that will show that Mahama actually had this figure here but through some manipulations the figures used by the EC to calculate were padded let us say from 2000 to 3000 or more and that Nana had 5000 somewhere but it was reduced to 1000 or to 500. I have up till now not heard anything like that; all we hear is someone has forgotten to sign, whiles all others especially party agents have signed; a space that has been left blank, some serial numbers are repeated etc. Who in his right senses as a judge is going to listen to all this crap and declare that those arguments hold water for the votes of so many million people almost half of the votes to be annulled. That will be insanity. By the way why was the NPP rules of annulling the votes not applied to all polling stations country wide? Where is honesty and sincerity in this case.

The important thing is what would be discussed, not where it takes place. This NPP cabals are behaving like unthinking, frozen robots who will denounce anything before even analyzing it. I guess they do not have analytic skills!!!!

This Akomea chap is just a pain 'where the sun don't shine'.

First of all, it is definitely not true as he says, that, "During my tenure as Minister of Information, we constructed a state of the art press center at the Ministry,....". That so-called state-of-the-art part of the information Ministry, was initiated by Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey and he Akomea inherited the final completion stages of it. In any case what is state-of-the-art about it? That Information Ministry does actually and indeed need a proper state-of-the-art Press Conference Center worth its name.

These cheap propaganda characters in both the NDC and the NPP have a tendency to lie about everything and in the haste to score undeserved cheap points, they go into over-drive and lie about and against members of their own teams. Nana Akomea is a senior and prime culprit in these infantile misdemeanors.

If I were Akomea I would lie low on issues like this to avoid further scrutiny because without doubt, he was one of the worse Ministers of Information that any govt in this country has ever had the effrontery to put in that office. If he contests this assertion or accusation, he should come out to tell us the public of any accomplishments he may have chalked on our blind side during his tenure as Minister of information. I dare him.

Instead of wildly shooting blanks at imaginary and vulnerable NDC foes, he would do well to get his act together as Nana Addo's, communications capo. Even in this regard, he has completely failed. One of the painfully unobserved and disregarded reasons why the NPP lost the last elections is that the Party did not have a viable holistic campaign communications strategy that could have endeared them to the electorate. In the absence of that, they preferred rather to retreat into a small corner by focusing on responding and reacting to the equally childish wiles of the NDC. Because of their presumed and sham elitist posture, they can however never ever out-run the NDC in the dirty jobs dept of electioneering communications and propaganda strategies.

Akomea presenting his best dandy self on TV and in radio studios will not get the NPP anywhere.

I just cant figure out why Akomea should be worried whether the NDC wants to hold a daily Press briefing at the Bukom toilet or for that matter, anywhere else. If I were him I would have kept a strategic silence on what clearly is bound to end up in an own goal ditch.

Both the NDC and the NPP have reduced the seriousness of politics in this country into a back-street pantomime that is fit only for the attention of those who have any intention of raising the image of this country to the next level.

This is why we have different parties. If we all do everything the same way, then there will be no need for different opinions. What is good for you is not what they want, that's why we have NPP, NDC CPP etc. We all do things differently. It's the end result that matters.

However i think the daily frequency is a high one and i wonder what kind of news the minister would be reporting on. Maybe a weekly briefing would be desirable at this stage and offer the minister the opportunity to react to events of the past week, if any.

Also if it is being done at the Flaggstaff house, why wont the press attache to the Castle/flagstaff house not engage the media.

The idea is good but lets fine-tune it now before it kicks off.
