Tsatsu, while being the boss of GNPC bought an exploratory rig to do oil exploration in Ghana. During the process, seismic data were gathered by GNPC, which could have helped Ghana to discover where our oil is collected. NPP came to power only to sell the said seismic data collected from the seismic survey to the whites as well as the exploratory rig. Not long, the whites announced they have discovered oil, causing Ghana to loose all the money Ghana could have earned from our oil. what did Tsatsu get in the end? incarceration from the NPP government, and here they go again. I do not know if Hassan Ayariga has truely been given license to lift oil, but if he has, I want to ask Adorye Hopeson, does Hassan Ayariga not have the right to do business in Ghana? is he not a Ghanaian? if Hopeson Adorye like, he should also apply for a license. If he is not bold enough to do oil business he should keep quiet and allow the daring to do their business; which is also part of their fundamental human rights for being Ghanaians.

Our forbears, many of whom were illiterate or semi-illiterate knew all the principles of retailing and marketing from their own natural intelligence, traditional knowledge and experience.

Hassan Ayariga may have created the image of a buffoon with his excessive joking during the Presidential debates. But above that he actually made clear, in very simple terms, his understanding of some of the pressing problems facing the country. For example, he was the only candidate to point out the serious problem of over-centralization in Ghana - everything is based in Accra and every aspect of business has to be conducted in Accra. The businessperson in Tamale, Bolga, Wa or Navrongo is forced to always travel to Accra to conduct business with the government or foreign partners.

In any case, Ayariga is a far better person than the semi-illiterate, tribalist and hatemonger, Kennedy Agyapong, whose "success" in business was due strictly to his connections to the then ruling NPP administration and the corrupt support he was given.
