Teacher Rapes American Volunteer

Date: 07-May-2013

A SCIENCE teacher at Brekumanso, a farming community near Asamankese in the West Akim Municipality of the Eastern Region, is in the grip of the Asamankese Police for raping a 22-year-old American volunteer, who is a colleague at the Brekumanso L/A Junior High School on April fool’s day.

Frank Akamah, 26, played smart on his female colleague, who teaches Mathematics and Science at the school, when he invited her over for dinner at First Stop Restaurant at Asamankese, where he resides.

Sources close to the Asamankese Police Command told DAILY GUIDE that on that fateful day, after dining and wining, Frank Akamah played some delay tactics until such a time that it was too late for his guest to get a car back home to Brekumanso, where she lives.

Pretending to be concerned, Akamah willingly proposed that his guest (name withheld) could pass the night so they could go to school the next day, as it was rather too late to get a car to the village.

Realising that it was late indeed, she reluctantly accepted the offer but refused to share his bed.

Rather, she chose to make herself comfortable in a sofa in the living room.

The American volunteer, for obvious reasons, refused every attempt by Akamah to have her share his bed until the later gave up and went to bed.

However, while his guest lay in the sofa fast asleep, Akamah like a preying lion pounced on her for sexual favours, but that was not going to come easy.

The two science teachers got entangled in a serious battle until the stronger person won.

Akamah eventually had his way as his guest could not resist any more. So Akamah managed to satisfy his burning sexual desire.

Alas she asked to be excused to urinate as the washroom was outside the room.

She, however, ceased the opportunity to get on the next available bus to Accra where she reported the incident at the American Embassy.

She was hosted and taken to the hospital, treated and discharged.

After two weeks, when she had somehow recovered from the trauma, a delegation from the embassy stormed the Brekumanso L/A JHS where they arrested and handed Akamah over to the Asamankese Police for further investigation.

The suspect is said to have been involved in such illicit act with some of his students.

He has always had his way because parents were either too scared to report him to the appropriate authorities or settled the issues at home.

His cup, however, became full when he decided to do same to his Obroni colleague.

Most of his pupils, who had been his victims, are said to be exceedingly excited over his arrest and are waiting for the great day of judgement when he would be finally incarcerated for all the hurt he had caused them.

A police source said the suspect made his second appearance in the Asamankese Magistrate Court on Thursday May 2, 2013 and was remanded in police custody to reappear in a week’s time.

Those who don't see the collapse of the npp petition are living in a cloud cuckold land.They are battling with a figment of their imagination.Addison is no match for Tsatsu and any objective viewer would not come to any other conclusion.The only reason why Addison is lead counsel for the petitioner's is because of his no sense attitude.What he lacks in brain,he atones for with his robust,bullish and belligerent style.These can scare only the inexperienced and the timid but not his superiors like Tsikata.The class shows and as for Bawumia he will regret the day he decided to take upon him,this assignment.He has been reduced to a motherless child seeking help and attention from any where as he looks lost.

The former deputy registrar of the Ghana School of Law (GSL), Mr. John Yaw Opoku has said that Mr. Gabby Otchere-Darko, Managing Editor of the Statesman and host of Gabby?s Air Time on TV 3 was to repeat his class at the law school but was passed on orders.

Testifying before the committee probing Kwaku Ansa-Asare, yesterday, he stated that, one of the issues that precipitated his termination from the school had to do with his insistence that Mr. Otchere- Darko had failed and should have been repeated.

Explaining, he said, under the law school regulations, LI 12(96) PNDC law 1984, when a student failed in two subjects, he must be repeated; where the failure was in only one subject, he must be promoted and asked to rewrite his papers.

In the case of Gabby however, he had failed two subjects, but when he informed the director about this development he said he had failed only one subject, so must be promoted. Mr. Otchere Darko was taking the preliminary law course (professional law course part 2).

Mr. Opoku said he stood his grounds, but Gabby went to Ansa-Asare, who ordered him to allow Gabby to carry on and take his papers as referred ones.

According to the witness, despite his insistence that this was improper, Ansa-Asare had his way and Gabby was allowed to proceed to the final stage and eventual completion.

Mr. Opoku who declared that he had never been queried throughout his professional career, spanning fifteen years, including a stint at WAEC, said he was shocked when the very week, during which he had an encounter with Gabby over his results, he received a letter terminating his appointment.

He told the committee that he felt very sad for the defence of the General Legal Council, chaired by the Chief Justice Mr. George Kingsley Acquah.

Tsatsu Tsikata is an unprofessional lawyer and therefore needs to be trained well. He doesn't seemed to be a lawyer if he really doesn't know the rules of conduct in the court. I wonder the sort of lawyer he is.

He also seemed to have stayed very long in interior forest. Shame unto him.

Again, his attitude tells the public that they are joking in the supreme court, then if it happened in any of these small courts I wouldn't know what would have happened.

I am hereby urging the Supreme Court Judges to ensure that there is discipline in the court. A lot of people are also watching this court case from their countries so let Supreme Court be a Supreme court and not a concert room. Sorry.

When you decide to use crude tactics in court your opponent cannot allow that to continue forever, especially if the judges do not admonish the habit!! Folks, the NPP and its shallow minded legal team has finally fallen into Tsatsu's trap. When lawyer Amedzeku filled his applications before the supreme court, NPP counsel lawyer Addison was first to raised objects for its dismissal on the grounds that he has not sworn proper affidavitt in support of his application. As a result his objection was upheld and lawyer Amedzeku's application was dismiss...ed. Now most of the evidences and exhibits NPP submitted to the supreme court are duplications,triplications and quadruplications without commissioner of oath approved stamps thus not properly sworn with affidavit in support. QUESTION:Do you think the supreme court in its own wisdom would overlook these same loop holes in lawyer Amedzeku's application which is the same as that of NPP and rule in their favour?.Now the NPP is talking of a run off.Is it the same Afari-Gyan they alleged stole votes for the NDC going to supervised this run off election they are talking about?.

Or review their (Publishing) Policy to curb this canker! It may not be wholly rooted out but would deal a significant blow to the upsurge. Else slowly insults at the highest level is trickiing down to the younger generation and before you know it has become a norm and part of our culture.

Haaaaba! No wonder even in the Highest Court of the Land insults could not be mauled. Our country is now riddled with insults, left, right, back, center, forward and in fact every direction conceivable.
