These people do not pay tax but they enjoy the physical infra-structure created by the state. They make so much income and are flouting the law on the payment of taxes. Those of us in the formal sector, no matter how small we make, are taxed without favour.
Government should rebuild the market because it is a very important market with popular patronage in this country.It is a very busy commercial point for government to raise taxes in the future.It is must be managed properly by the government.
The traders should not have their own way at the disadvantage of the state.
There are too many illegal electrical connections in most of our markets hence the cause of fires.One sees some of things but there is no contact place to report them. Government should consider to establish points in the country where citizens could bring the attentions og government. Even just this morning on my way to work, I noticed a bicycle vendor arranged and washing these bicycles on the pavement. Very soon, this vendor will turn this place into a shop alonside the N1 Highway.Any attempt to relocate this vendor will be cost to the people of Ghana. We allow bad things to degenerate before we begin to act.Government cannot be at every where. There are institutions which are to be in charge but they are ineffective. There must be at least be contact points where citizens are draw government's attention or these organizations' attention.
