  Strikes are simply the results of the inability to resolve labor disputes. The doctor should stop the bullcrap about mental disorders; just because he is a physiologist does not mean that everything has to be explained with psychology. Sure, anyone’s frustrations could cause some stress for them but he should stop this suicide, murder, and homicide etc., nonsense. I think his association with mental patients is beginning to rub off on him.

ADUSEI, AKROMEAH, KOFI JUMA SIR JOHN etc. WELL, I AM NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH Chief Psychiatrist, Dr. Akwesi Osei who points out that, adding that a survey conducted by Yale University in conjunction with the University of Ghana in 2008, revealed that about 41 percent, out of 10,000 Ghanaians interviewed, suffered one form of emotional stress or the other. And that 41% did not even include the Doctors.

  The unbearable national social economic hardship which has degenerated into national labour distress and work place unrest coupled with strikes has certainly affected the brains of the national Chief Psychiatrist whose analyses of the rights of our Doctors and pharmacists to demand fair salaries from the "woyomenized" guinea fowls focused Mahama led government indicates he needs a psychiatrist attention himself or consultation with Kwaku Bossam for herbal cure.
  
  How can any physically fit right minded person describe workers and professional Doctors and Pharmacists for that matter who have genuinely embarked on strike as people with some sort of mental disorder?

  How could a person placed at a national responsible position spew such derogatory words about Doctors and Pharmacists demanding their rightful salaries which has been denied them over so many months.
  
  Between the government who have so much to pay for dubiously perceived settlement debts and voted hugely for non existing guinea fowls projects with a non substantive evidence of 8.7 million Cedis deficit in the national budget and the striking Doctors and Pharmacists who is distress to be said as having mental case?
  
  This is a total indication that the entire country is sick.

We need economic, social, technical, religious and also political solutions. One can say all our minds are down cast for only POLITICAL solution. I think we are getting it absolutely wrong.   Upon their arrival, would they have received the necessary education, training and accreditation as stipulated and recognized by the Ghana Medical Association(AMA)as could permit them to practice medicine in the country?
  
  Is the government, at the same time, also negotiating to bring in Cuban nurses and other health delivery professionals to come to work with the doctors in Ghana?
  
  Should these doctors and other medical professionals from Cuba need some training and/or orientation in respect to the cultural values and practices of the Ghanaian people so as to be somewhat equipped to better undersatanding the Ghanaian?
  
  Is this not a bogus government that has no understanding and the wherewithal to governing?

So what diagnosis can he give to these striking professionals as can be found in the diagnostic manual? Could it be strikophrenia, strikemania, or strike-bypolar affective disorger or may be dementia-strikalistica?   I think this chief psychiatrist rather is the one who has a mental disorder. I think he cannot reason well or he has collected bribe. If he is really a psychiatrist, he should analyze properly. Politicians who are leaders are chopping wawaa so who should sacrifice. Infact this man should be sacked because he cannot even analyze well.
