  The TUC in Ghana is made up of dreamers and jokers. Salaries paid to workers are neither gifts nor their rights. Salaries are payed to workers for work done, so salaries should relect on productivity with regard to the workers. In Ghana, there is no productivity but people always want pay increases. Workers show up late for work or sit idle doing nothing or chating. Mr Asamaoah should visit the developed countries and see for himself how the TUC in these countries operate. In the developed world, productity is what counts when one talks about salary incremenmet. Each worker is assessed at the end of the year and it is then determined if the worker deserves an increment or not.Pay increment is not a "Gift BAZAR". To be frank, in Ghana most workers are paid salaries for doing nothing. In Ghana just showing up at the work place is enough to ask for salary increment. Our workers should first learn how to work properly and be prodsuctive before talking about salary increment.
