the fantis did not vote for ndc rather they put their faith in atta mills who was undermined and later brutally murdered by the ewes. he hoped that the unity of the nation would be the basic platform to ensure a better standard and he also tried do something better. if there was an election today ndc would not even get 5% since no one can fool the sophisticated voters of the fanti speaking peoples of the western and central regions. the ndc used one of the oldest tricks and lies of politics by proclaiming an ideological platform which enables any idiot to participate and talk without really understanding what it takes to be competent enough to serve the interests and welfare of the people. so we are now saddled with a hegemonic ayigbe mafia , corrupt , selfish , greedy , sodomizing thieving govt so determined in the rape and looting of the national coffers that i fear only a civil war will remove them from there.

The Doctors ongoing strike is politically motivated. I am a die hard NPP supporter however; I think the tactics adopted to make Ghana ungovernable is wrong. These tactics will contribute to us losing heavily during the 2016 elections. I honestly predict NDC winning due to these silly motivated strikes.
I believe being a doctor is not all about money. I think it is also about helping people with needs. Again, doctors are humans and are indubitably entitled to a voice in the terms of their employment just as many employees in other sectors of the industry. I applaud these dedicated professionals and their plain hard work. However, doctors are in the same category with police officers and fire fighters who provides essential services necessary to prevent danger to life, health or safety.
On the other hand, in the context of health care, unfair treatment of doctors over and over again means under-staffing, overworking and underpaid will add to the disadvantage of the patients who depend on the dutiful care of those who provide medical services. Therefore the government should act and settle the doctor’s disputes through binding arbitration. Without doctors to care for the sick patients, these sick patients may languish in their pain and their suffering. Injured persons may face worsening conditions, or find their injuries becoming irreversible or vastly more complicated. Conversely, the vulnerability of these patients does not give these striking doctors the license to be politically motivated and punished their patients and forget about their ethical guidelines.
I think these doctors must abide by the ethical guidelines imposed by the Ghana Medical Council and the one imposed universally in all jurisdictions. Patients in Ghana are entitled to good doctors and good doctors make the care of patients their first concern. They also provide a good standard of practice and care and I honestly think that patients in Ghana deserve better and must be able to trust doctors with their lives and health. Therefore, I sincerely insist on these doctors to justify the trust by treating these patients with respect and dignity. Again they should have respect for human life for God sake!
I just want to ask these doctors whether they still have a signed declaration of the Ghana Medical Council’s (Professional conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) regulations? If so do they know that the prime objective of the medical profession is to render service to humanity? Why are these doctors placing their own financial interests above the welfare of their patients because of politics? Do these politically motivated doctors know that the risk of harm to patients outweighs the need to use the strike as an objection to working conditions?
I therefore conclude that if we as a society allow those who care for our sick to abandon their oaths and their duties any more readily than this, then we too have abandoned our sick. I think this new government should come up with a new legislation to make it harder for doctors to go on strike.
