we are all witnesses to the lies and maliciously abominable agendas of the ewe mafia ruling by proxy today. in as much as the claim to be wanting to do the right think they are incompetent and amateur in everything they undertake to do . half his appointees lack any proper experience and this is their first real job, their actions instead of bringing unity have caused divisions to deepen and even new ones appear . after 20 years of work the npp allowed a fool like kuffuor to rule for 8 years and are now paying very dearly the price of his attempt to impose ahanti domination over the rest of the Akans thus enabling the return of the ndc woe on Ghana. pepeni has copied his partner in crime's style and appointed mainly minority muslim alajihs and ewe mischief s . after this mandate never again will a corrupt , wicked , evil northerner , ewe or ashanti be given the opportunity to lead us no matter what party platform they stand on . the attitude of me and my tribesmen against the Akans and other Ghanaian s will never pass again as its been exposed and we are all now much wiser . yes they will not have an easy ride chopping our money and we will make sure they answer for all their crimes sooner or later

This is a good move by the president but the problem is if it will work. The Chiefs and the police are in cahoot with these illegal miners.

We need an assertive president whose words would be taken seriously by his subordinates.

THE mining regulation is not helpful. Stop small scale mining now, to preserve the environment. Our land usage must be regulated. There must be à special policy on building estates.

Please Mr. President, this IS another short-cut way and band-aiding the problem. YOUR STATEMENT SHOULD AND MUST BE - STOP ALL SURFACE MINING. The destruction of our land is not caused by illegal miners. Instead, it is caused by the Chinese who hide behind greedy and senseless Ghanaians within the fabric of NDC and NPP. Please Mr. Mahama, you have been vice-president for four years and now a president. Don't pretend as if you do not know the social and environmental problems confronting Ghana. If you don't then I am inclined to state that you do not know Ghana and that you need to spend time studying Ghana and stop borrowing carelessly from foreign countries. Banning "illegal mining" is not the solution . THE SOLUTION IS, ONCE AGAIN, STOP ALL SURFACE MINING.

Why can't the ministry of helath ensure that these mining comapnies adhere to the health and safety policies if we have anyway? Ghanaians miners hold your bosses to account and stop working like slaves.

The major mining in the country is enough of a destruction to the country and we do not need individual small scale permit holders to dig surface lands. Just withdraw all permits to individuals damaging our forest. The chemicals used in extracting the minerals get into our drinking water and that alone is killing our citizens. Are the universities researching into this to come out with a report? What is the Minister of Land and Mineral Resources doing about this? Just stop the greed of our chiefs and the exploiters.
