Osagyefo is the one who deserves credit for his foresight. He planned this in the 1963 7 year development plan. Of course, Kufour did well by getting off the drawing board.

I thnk the only mistake, if it is a mistake at all, is implementing the single spine salary, which has led to an appreciable increase in the salaries of all government workers. Instead of having patience and allowing the government time to resolve issues, we are using the opportunity to do partisan politics and engineering strikes to make the government unpopular. Maybe we should have been left to take the peanuts we were taking previously taking as salary. Ungrateful Ingrates

Environmental catastrophes... Nuclear energy... I'll just assume you missed the obvious points there. The sad truth is solar energy is expensive. You have constantly maintain the solar panel (dust and other particle accumulation lowers efficiency so daily cleaning), the energy isn't consistent/uniform - nighttime, rain, dust cover, etc. The benefits from a dam (water supply/fishing), consistent flow of water, etc, all make a dam an attractive option, environmental impact over gas/crude.

To be honest, i'm not really sure your point/concern is really a good one Mr. Zip Up...now Wind energy would have been a good idea, lower overhead than solar, but environmental impact (ruins coastal beauty, etc) is another concern
