The police need to carry out many more such "Dead or Alive" raids to plant the seed of fear in these ruthless criminals. Matter of fact I wish they can have posters of all known criminals and post it for ransom "DEAD OR ALIVE" 1000 cedis per head. If you kill an innocent man, you will be jailed 5 - 10 years.

We need vigilantes as well to make the job of the police much easier, this is how the West was Won!!!

Having said that, what the police did was not the way to go: they should take them through the court system, and their DESERVING fate decided by the state. Stiffer punishment capable of generating DETERRRANCE is REQUIRED!! There should be a national debate and referendum on this. In short, armed robbery should NOT be treated with kids' gloves!!!

I tell you what, I entertain no doubt whatsoever that there is more to this story than has been reported. I very much doubt that Police Officers would just shot suspects they have not interrogated. I sincerely believe that the only way this incident would have happened was if the police had incontrovertible evidence that the culprits are confirmed armed robbers. One should not forget that more often than not, the police do know who these armed robbers are except that they are difficult to pin down. Come on, Ghana Police may not measure up to international standards but I do not for a moment believe that they will just shot four men without proper cause or justification. If the police had confirmation that they were actually armed robbers, well then, as much as it is not the right way to go, this menace of armed robbery demands unconventional response to eradicate it. The action of the police in this instance may not be "legal" but I will deem it an appropriate response to a crisis situation. This, assuming the police have the appropriate proof, is a stiff message to all armed robbers which is that, when you are caught, you will be shot. Plain and simple. Lets deal with the legal ramifications later. All things being equal, I will say well done to the Ghana Police.

This will help refresh their mind on many liability issues that will safeguard both Public and Police as well.

If they are indeed armed robbers, then their so called right ceased the moment they chooses to be in that wicked and stupid profession- Armed robbery.
And those of you who may be thinking the police should have arrested them after they had surrounded. My words to you is just wait and see how you will react when these animals pay you a visit one day in your house.
For me, if they are indeed armed robbers, then i take my hat off for the police for good job well done.
Talk to a victim of armed robbery and then you can understand why all ehose animals needs to be killed.

He got a phone call in the morning, went out and never came back....shot from behind by the police while he was on the phone. The police then fabricated a story for the radio stations.....claiming he was killed in a gun battle at his hide out. So if you execute all suspects, what is the essence of the courts? How do we know what they did or didn't do? How do we trust the police when they can't say the truth?
