Added to that I would like Government to support local pharmaceutical companies to manufacture drugs for dangerous diseases like hepatitis B instead of importing them. As a result interferon for instance is so expensive people suffering from the disease are left to their fate. How many Ghanaians can cough out GHc10,000 for a 3-month treatment? If the generic versions are manufactured locally I believe it would be readily available at low prices for people to afford it. It should also be put on the list of drugs administered under the NHIS for sufferers to access.
Parliament you owe us this. Pass the law to get such drugs on the NHIS.
