As an American I don't care about the NDC, NPP, or NDCPP, or any other party. The people of Ghana elected Pres. John Mahama as president and I'm sorry but as a leader it does fall to him to deal with these problems ASAP, to go before the U.N. on his knees or any agency anywhere and say Our nation is broke and we can't provide basic services for our people. Even America's broke ass came up with Obamacare and even if it was a poor answer, a least it was an answer. I mean are there just a bunch of people writing disparaging articles or is this really going on? I want to know, because this is a matter of National Security, and the peoples trust in providing for themselves. Is this really true. I'm so sorry for the people of this country. Oh Ghana!...Seven million dollars was allocated for Black Stars' misadventure in South Africa..even before the 3rd place match, which we lost to mali, each player had already accumulated $50,000 as bonus...our U-20(satellites) just lost to egypt in the finals of the africa youth tournament in algeria...before they travelled to algeria for the competition, they were in italy for two weeks...how much was allocated?...nobody knows...our U-17 team is presently in italy in a run up to the africa U-17 tourney in morocco..how much is allocated?..nobody knows...both budgets are in the millions of u.s. dollars, i suppose...my observation is that when it comes to football, which i like and happy whenever ghana wins, gov't is ready to spend millions of dollars for preparation and the tourney itself...but when it comes to more important social services, like primary education, rural water, and health services like the problem at our mental hospitals, the government is reluctant to release funds...they drag their feet and the money doesn't come at all...why, why and why?...this is really shameful when a country can cough up $7m and more for football and cannot take care of its citizens with the same amount of money...i just can't understand...it beats my imagination...as much as i like football and will be the happiest man in the world when ghana qualifies for the next world cup, i am also happy when kids in school no longer sit under trees without desks...when villagers don't trek miles to fetch drinkable water, and when drugs and medicines are affordable when people get sick...ghana, with our vast resources, should be able to finance our mental hospitals and not turn away patients just because of the perennial problem of "no money"...shame on us!

In order for the government to get a first-hand experience of the state of most of our hospitals in Ghana, all government Ministers should be requested to stay a night or two at one of the government hospitals, see the state of patient care, the food, wards, patient service and talk to employees and officials about practical problems being encountered by the dedicated healthcare givers in Ghana. In so doing, we hope the government will change its attitude in the ways and means it deals with the healthcare system in Ghana.

it is my prayer that God will touch individuals including pastors who are making millions of dollars and pound sterlings as well as cedis to be a blessing to our hospitals

I pray that God will bless me so that I can be a blessing to them. Remember what lucifer did to Jesus as he promise to given Jesus everything if Jesus follows ll that he wanted Jesus to obey. we sell our votes without asking God to anoint his own God fearing person to the governmentship. When these presidents buy your vote, we must know that they aim at misimising profit by corrupting the country. I pray that God will cast away every corrupt person who come into power and open all the voters eyes not to condone because of what they will eat today not the future. AMEN.
