When is the feed in tariff for waste to energy coming out? Waste to Energy is the most important renewable energy Ghana has to pursue now. Solar is too expensive and not readily available when needed most. We should postpone Solar for now. Waste would solve multiple ills. So waste now, solar tomorrow. Thank U

Of the nearly 1.4 billion people in the world today who still lack access to electricity, the majority live on the African continent.
From what is going on with our constant outages and blackouts, one does not have to be reminded that we in Ghana need ambitious financing for renewable energy projects of all sizes and types to stimulate investment, maintain rapid growth in our stalled economy and provide energy access to our rural areas.
Investments in solar energy, wind energy, waste-to-energy conversion systems, mini-hydros, and biofuels to feed our national power grids, to innovate localized off-grid solutions to bring power to people and areas that are currently without power.
The energy policy of the government should have been brought up as a topic of discussion with the US Ambassador.
