The NDC would have to explain to Ghanaians how a dead man came to author and sign a letter!

The opening paragraph states, “I came to serve; I have finished my time here on earth and have moved on to everlasting rest and celestial duties with my heavenly father.”

The immediate question is; how did the dead man come to sign his own personal tribute, since he is already in heaven?

The letter then goes on melodramatically, “As you leaf through these pages of my life’s story, I pray to God that it touches your heart in many positive ways. Weep not, I am not dead. I am alive and awake in the Lord. Ghana will not die; Ghana will live to declare the works of the Lord. Under the greedy thiefman, Kufour, Tarzan used our money to import TOYS that did not generate 1kw of power and used additional money to re-export the TOYS to USA. Today he is walking free and VRA are asking for increase in tariff for them to pay off the loss. What craziness is this? I am sure the rot in Ghana Water is being duplicated in VRA and ECG. I urge the President to institute probes into those two companies instead of approving an increase in tarriffs.

Let us be frank. So long as we have problem in the energy sector, we need something to be done at earliest time. Please if it means increment of tariff will improve the service of utilities, then what are we shouting for? We have used to cheaper services and now reluctant to pay more.
However, if we have anything to complain about, that should come later. Not allow NPP propaganda to continue going round in our mind. Frankly speaking, they are the cause of all this problem. Is unfortunate that, Ghanaians are so uneducated to be able to differ between good and bad. NPP spent 8 good years amasing money into their pockets while they want to take advantage of what they created into mind of some foolish Ghanaians as an opportunity for theselves.

VRA must put pressure on the Chinese Power Construction companies who have failed to complete the projects before time.Our Industries and Homes are consumming more power than VRA could produce.It is absurd for VRA to depend on generators which is more expensive than both the cost of Bui Dam and the Gas Processing Plant in the Western Region.If VRA buys $300,000 crude oil every week to produce power compare to $700,000 for Bui Dam and $750,000 for the Gas Processing Plant you can see that something is wrong somewhere.These 2 Energy projects were supposed to be operational in 2012,so why are they not working?In my candid opinion,I suspect some kind of mafia movement going on,this is strange.Thank you.

Actually Ghanaian consumer pays less for electricity compared to other consumers in the sub-region. On the average a consumer in Ghana pays around 15pes/kwh(8cents/kwh) for electricity while consumers in the US pays around 10-13 cents/kwh. Remember also that the actual price of bulk electricity is far cheaper than what is being paid the average consumer. Cost of generation in the US is far cheaper than in Ghana. They rely on nuclear , coal and very cheap gas from Trinidad. On the other hand Ghana current generation mix includes about 40% from thermal generation using crude oil (about 140% more expensive than gas). Admittedly the quality of service in the US is far better than Ghana but the bottom line is tariffs in the world over are set based on economics not on quality of the service. Many consumers are demanding better service before the pay more, VRA is saying that they cannot support the current poor service on the tariff been paid. So sustainable of the poor service on higher tariff or no service at all. Make your pick!!!
