Innovation cannot be stopped. Do not be afraid to bring ideas to fruition! Ghana needs industralists who turn hoes into backhoes for construction. Turn engineers into hands-on-fabricators and manufacturers. Walk the walk not just talk the talk. Get engineering students dig and contruct cesspools for homes as starters instead of pencil pushing. Be plumbers and electricians hands-on.

It is easy for you to sit in your comfort zone and prescribe hollow solutions to our nation's problems. How much money do we have in the system to support engineers digging and constructing cesspools for homes? How much can an average Ghanaian afford to pay for daily sustenance, let alone hire an engineer for any of these fancy projects? The fact is, Ghana do not have enough capital to go around for us to support ourselves. What we need is an industrial base that manufactures products for exports, thus bringing in much needed capital which will make it possible to elevate the earning potential of the average Ghanaian. Then we can talk about turning our engineers to dig and construct cesspools for us because we will have enough money to pay these engineers descent wages. Everything start with a favourable environment created by the government, devoid of intimidations from politicians. It doesn't matter how much innovations one has, killer environments like this can stifle any progress. Remember, throughout the whole world, capital has no national loyalty but flows to areas of least resistance. Just ask how the Chinese economy began.

Most of the so-called Ghanaian successful business men only thrive on political cronyism but not because they are good at managing businesses profitably. It is strange that after using politicians to get government contracts they do not deserve, they short change the politicians and turn round to paint them this black. In most of those cases the businessmen are merely fronting for the politicians and when the time comes for the politicians to take over their business they come out screaming of being robbed, as we are reading in this article.
I do not want to go into detail how the person complaining in this article has profited immensely from opportunities the government denied his competitors. I will only come out if he continues to deceive the public.
In fact, it is rather the business men who deceive the politicians that they can handle their affairs confidentially for them, only to turn round to rob the politicians of their loot. But if a thief thiefs a thief, how can the thief go to the police of court?

The best solution is probably to bypass politicians altogether. There must be another institution responsible for innovative businesses.
Greedy Politicians deny those with good ideas their chance to succeed, only to replace them with cronies who promise to deliver fortunes for no work done.
That is Ghana, as you might have bitterly experienced.
And this is the reason we cannot supply ourselves with potable water, but Politicians go about dashing $70,000 worth of off-road-vehicles to 80-year-old men.

FOR FIVE YEARS, THEY HAVE NOT EVEN BEEN ABLE TO FINISH NSAWAM SUHUM PIECE OF ROAD STARTED BY K4, THINKING THEY ARE HURTING ASHANTIS. THEY DON'T KNOW THAT THEY ARE RATHER EXPOSING THEMSELVES TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD.YOU LURED BURKINA FASO TO USE TEMA HARBOUR AND AFTER CLEARING THEIR GOODS FROM THE HARBOUR, LOOK AT THE TYPE OF ROADS THEY TRAVEL ON. COUNT THE # OF TRUCKS BURKINA FASO HAS LOST BETWEEN NSAWAM AND SUHUM THROUGH ACCIDENTS DUE TO THIS IMPASSABLE ROAD. THE TRUCKS SPEND NOT LESS THAN 4 HOURS FROM NSAWAM TO SUHUM. WHAT A SHAME. WHERE IS THE MONEY GOVT EARNS FROM BURKINA FASO GOVT AND BUSINESSMEN WHO USE TEMA HARBOUR? DOES THIS SPEAK WELL OF GHANA? #2 ALL TOURISTS WHO VISIT GHANA, AFTER VISITING ELMINA CASTLE PLY ON THIS ROAD TO KUMASI AND FURTHER TO THE NORTH. WHAT STORY WOULD THESE TOURISTS TELL ABOUT GHANA, AND OUR ROADS WHEN THEY GO BACK HOME? DON'T YOU THINK THEY WILL AGREE WITH ANY ONE WHO ACCUSES THE GOVT AS BEING CORRUPT AND INEFFECTIVE. DOESN'T NDC GOVT KNOW THAT THE ROAD IS ALSO USED BY OTHER GHANAIANS WHO ARE NOT ASHANTIS? SOME GHANAIANS FROM EASTERN REGION.BRONG AHAFO,WESTERN, NORTHERN REGION, UPPER REGION, SOME TRADERS AND BUSSINESSMEN ALSO USE THE ROAD? NOW, WITH IMPROVEMENT IN AIR TRANSPORT MOST PEOPLE WHO VISIT ACCRA FROM ASHANTI REGION TRAVEL BY AIR.A FEAT NO OTHER REGION IN THE COUNTRY CAN MATCH.WE HAVE PLANES LINKING THE NORTH, BUT ASK ME HOW MANY NORTHNERS CAN AFFORD IHE COST TO FLY. YOU SEE THAT MOST OF THE PASSENGERS ARE AKANS WHO FLY TO THE NORTH TO DO BUSSINESS.SO THE NDC GOVERNMENT SHOULD STOP THINKING IT IS HURTING ASHANTIS. IT IS HURTING OTHER TRIBES THE MORE. THE GOVERNMENT SHOUD RATHER KNOW THAT IT IS HURTING OTHER GHANAIANS ALSO AS WELL AS EXPOSING ITSELF.IT IS EXPOSING ITS CORRUPT,INEFFECTIVE,AND ITS MALPRACTICES TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD AS WELL.

The truth is that Ghanaian businessmen are wicket and greedy. They want to make super normal profits in every business they do. which is why the greedy politicians are taken over their businesses.
