The various agencies need to be restructured so they are put under one minister, so they can work together and get away from the silo mentality. Now that we have heard the root cause bla, bla, bla, what is the comprehensive solution? We need to stop putting band aids on the problem and instead tackle it head on. Invest money used for judgment debts into our infrastructure.

When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

HMM HMM, Where did the $12.2 billion go? JOHN Dramani Mahama has used the nation as a security to purchase an Aircraft at the expense of
Tax Payers.
How can Dramani go out to borrow money $3 billion dolla
rs from the Chinese Government and use the money to buy an aircraft
for himself when our nation is suffering? SUCH PPL DONT DESERVE MY RESPECT|||: JJ RAWLINGS, AKWASI NYANTAKYI, HANNAH TETTEH, NANA KONADU, BETTY MOULD, KUFFOUR, OTUMFOUR, WOYOME, MAHAMA, ATO QUARSHIE, PV OBENG, TSIKATA, THE AHWOIS, KWADWO MPIANI, DUFFOUR, AFARI GYAN.....YOU ARE ALL A BUNCH OF USELESS MORONS. WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR THE UNBORN GH? YOU FOLKS OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.
Who APPOINTED AFARI GYAN?
With the exception of the NDC, did any other political party in the country had any hand in the selection of the composition of the Electoral Commission ?

In a country where the players - VRA, ECG GRIDCo and NEDCo - all operate as different entities but are financed by the same state, the wisest thing to do is to merge these companies in order to make them more cost effective, prodictive and efficient.
As separate entities, they have proved beyond resonable doubts to be incompetent, inefficient and unproductive, having a field day at playing blame games and shifting blames.
What we need is a single state power generating, trasmission and distribution body, where the three functions will operate as departments under the single body. This will cut down operational costs by not less than 20%, improve coordination, efficiency and productivity.
Let me add that private power generators can continue to generate and sell power to the state body for distribution.

In my opinion, the country's power crises can be solved permanently and in the shortest possible time on condition that the authorities concerned meet to discuss in details to find out the cause of the matter and solution to the cause. Secondly Ghana must halt with immediate effect, the expansion of power export to neighbouring countries. Why expand the power export when we can't meet the nation's current demand??? Mismanagement of the nations resources in my opinion is the main cause of our current problems on WATER, ELECTRICITY and HOUSING.

From the presentation by the VRA, it is clear that the problem is more of incompetence, inefficiency and lack of patriotism on the part of the VRA management that is creating the power crisis. If government supports the purchase of the light crude oil for the production of the energy generated by VRA then the complain by the VRA for the need to increase the tariff is unacceptable. I do not think government has indicated that she was not going to support the purchase of the light crude oil. From all indications the rising production bill for the generation of energy is the use of light crude oil in place of the LPG which is not available due to the problem with the West African gas pipe line. If the foregoing deduction is the fact as presented by the VRA, then it is possible all will be well as soon as the problem with the West African gas pipe line is fixed. I wish to urge government to continue to support the VRA in the purchase of the light crude oil and if the need be increase her support level.
