Corruption has been FREE FOR ALL for a very longtime. The CEPS Boss during the 2nd Term of Rawlings, Nii Adjei Okine, was One COMMISSIONER who tried to do something about it and STOOD UP to the GREEDY BASTARDS. And what was the OUTCOME? CEPS during his Tenure DOUBLED State Revenue in a short time. But the Greedy Bastards chased him out of town by Using some Corrupt MEDIA people and STATE INSTITUTIONS such as the then SFO and a Corrupt Judge who was eventually dismissed by the Kufuor Govt.

I closely followed Nii Adjei's ROLE at the CEPS because those of us DOING GENUINE BUSINESS felt, at last, here was a Commissioner prepared to level the PLAYING FIELD by NOT ALLOWING the crooks an inch at the Ports. I know what I am talking about. So, you ask yourselves 'WHY WOULD ANYBODY RISK THE WRATH OF THE GREEDY BASTARDS WHEN
THE VERY SYSTEM WHOSE INTEREST THEY ARE SERVING WILL BE USED TO VILIFY THEM?

If you doubt me, ask Mr. VITUS AZEEM.

Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Whenever I see Mahama, I see lack of transparency, lack of integrity, lack of accountabilty, hubris, self-centredness, nepotism and visionlessness all around him.
For the 8 months that he has been in power nothing concrete can be seen to have been achieved by him - except totalk - "don't tell me what i want to hear", " I will not tolerate corruption", etc. Just using these words to buy time for another for years on non-achievement. There is NO ACTION on the ground.
He does't seem to have a vision (if he has, the citizens don't know hat it is. What is the point of having a vision without the people you are leading to that vision not knowing it?
Under NDC nad the Mahama government corruption is rife and lack of performa has become normal as he himself condones corruption and is clothed with corruption).
We need to educate the poor and the vulnerable in the socity to make their voting choices correctly otherwise Ghanaians will elect self-centred and corrupt-prone leaders like Mahama who exudes mediority than any leader in Ghana I have seen - bar Atta Mills.

Corruption in Ghana State institutions is not just at Tema Ports. It is everywhere. Clean up has to start from the Presidents office downwards. That is the only way corruption can be eradicated in Ghana.

And Turn Coat MPs who have been CROOKS for a longtime CAN NEVER be CRUSADERS. God takes the Boldness from people who are NOT SINCERE.

There are Ghanaians who have the requisites of INTEGRITY, HONESTY, PATRIOTISM and FAIRNESS, which incidentally constitute the MOTTO of CEPS who can get the Job Done.

The GREEDY BASTARDS in the NDC then and now have used their POLITICAL MIGHT to keep those STRONG enough to STAND UP to them from occupying positions where they will NOT allow the crooks to have their way.

The current Leadership of the Revenue Agencies are all PROTEGES of ONE GREEDY BASTARD or ANOTHER. That is what Mr Nelson Abudu and others who speak to the issue of Corruption lack the courage to say.

It is in the Nation's Interest that this 'Corruption Crusader, Now MP' is keeping the issue alive and debate on-going. BUT HE WILL NOT MENTION any NAMES, because as soon as he does others will GO AFTER HIM and he knows this.

If anything, what Govt must do is Give Him Immunity Against Prosecution if he is prepared to testify in Open Court regarding what he knows about Corruption at the CEPS. IMMUNITY looses the Tongue and encourages more WHISTLEBLOWING.

remove physical contact between customs and importers and cash from the port. import documents are treated elsewhere. the importe goes to the port only with paper or chits to claim his due. a code barred type of identification. you claim your baggage according to your tag. when custom officers do not receive direct cash for such a tedious work, they will not pay to be tansfered to the port. secondly , more officers may be sent there instead of recent bottle neck. and the same thing with the police.police are to issue chits for whatever offense. after one year you will see how strict and improved. money is always tempting.

The state is losing billions from the systematic corruption in Tema, Aflao, where the Police, immigration and customs share the booty.
Declaration of assets must be made public. Just check their tommies, this is one sign of corruption.
