Much as I agree with Rawlings' argument, I think he needs to define what he means by "right leadership" For some people right leadership is seen in terms of a weak and corrupt leader who creates the environment for corruption because of his own unethical dealings at the expense of the state and national interest. In this context Atta-Mills was a right leader. This is evidenced by the Niagra falls of eulogies heaped on him when he "mysteriously" died. Yet he left Ghana in a tattars. So Mr. Rawlings come back again and explain what you mean by "right leadership".
By the way, looking back can Rawlings sincerely say that he provided the right leadership to Ghanaianas?? This is highly debatable. Some people will agree that he offered the rigt leadership. Others will argue that he unleashed a reign of terror on Ghanaians. Yet another group believe that the executions, done in the name of a revolution and to stamp out corruption, were senseless and uncalled for because the party this same Rawlings founded with his blood has become a behemoth of material and moral corruption. The recent caution by Fifi Kweitey and others to Rawlings to keep quiet because he is not a saint goes to strenthen the argument of the last group.

Rawlings seized Achimota Brewery out of no reason and told Ghanaians not to patronize Appiah Menka soap. Today, if Rawlings will talk like this, what can we say? That he has repented for his AFRC/PNDC/NDC bad deeds or what? Mr. Siaw died in exile.

All the houses that are springing up in Ghana are being built by individuals, the least that the government has to do is to prop these people up, that is making sure the infrastructure is in place and the government is failing in that big time.
It is amazing that JJ is talking like this because he was one of the head of states/president who harassed the private sector – from Makola women to business men/women, to folks who had more than two toilets etc., and yet giving the opportunity to run his own factory, he and his wife flopped. I think JJ is suffering from amnesia.

Anybody who's matured enough to witness the emergence/usurpation of Rawlings, his rhetorics and his misdeeds, and will be objective will admit that Rawlings is not only contradictory, but HYPOCRITE and TRIBALISTIC: Stanley Ahorlu's company is free to operate, but Siaw, Appiah Menkah and many Akan owned companies were chased out of business from Ghana by Rawlings. Rawlings is a BANE on Ghana. I don't think this man is a patriotic Ghanaian. I blame the person who recruited this unpatriotic--confused-half-Ghanaian into the Army. He has introduced tribalism, greed and indiscipline into our social fabric, using coup he dubbed as "revolution".

Had Rawlings allowed rising Ghanaian businesses to grow during the 80's under his usurpation, Ghana would have been the nerve of business in the West African sub-region. He will either arrest you or kill you to the extent that able Ghanaians run away from the country because of his stupid decisions of "probity and accountability". What saddens my heart is that former president Rawlings still believe that no member of his party ie MPs and Ministers did not do anything wrong and in attempt to exposed them he things that you hate them.
