In fact, this project is another white elephant in the offing. God me! Why don't you put the necessary amenities in place to coerce the badly needed investors to our shores and maybe some may consider building your so-called Hope City Project for Ghana with their own capital instead? Dear Mr. President
We don't need the highest tower building in Africa during the first year of your office. What we actually need is good and free education as Nana planned.
Who are those going to service the lifts going up and down of the tower building.
That was the reason why Nana was trying to give free education to enable those who can not perform academically well can do professional subjects like plumbing, surveying, building and brick layering mechanical courses and so on.
We also need the following essentials:
1 excellent road and railway lines.
2. Best hospitals,
3. Good drinking Water.
4. Electricity
5. etc etc
Please think twice.

I suggest the inauguration of new projects must CEASE until ALL previous projects have been assessed, and evaluated to determine their viability.
It seems as if Ghana's development approach subscribes to the "leaky-bucket-hypothesis," that is, we keep adopting new projects which are inevetably abandoned; then we go in for foreign loans to finance other projects, we get the money, and subsequently abandon the projects.
Ghanaian politicians are more interested in getting the kick-backs from foreign loans, rather than see to the completion of adopted projects. STOP, ASSESS, and EVALUATE all previous projects.

I'm tempted to think that I'm daydreaming. If what is written here is true, then I can aptly say that Mahamah and his NDC government have lost their sense of direction and purpose. When the citizenry don't have water to drink, electricity to run their businesses, good roads to travel on, etc.President Mahamah is thinking of $10bn so-called "Hope City Project'.
As I said and continue to say, Ghana should not rule out the possibility of a coup de dat or a popular uprising from the civilian populace. For how long should we sit down for politicians to selfishly and greedily steal and mismanage our country's limited resources? A word, they say is enough to the wise.

Ghana and even WEST AFRICA is really favourable for COTTON GROWTH.China leads in FASHION MANUFACTURING but now becoming too expensive to sustain it.Why don't MAHAMA take this opportunity to use this US$10BN to promote COTTON GROWTH AND PROCESSING to be able to compete and even suppass CHINA,seeing we have one of the cheapest labour force in the world today? The CHINESE wore only ONE UNIFORM some time past because of their COMMUNIST SYSTEM OF GOVERNANCE,whilst we knew fashion long time before. We are nearer to EUROPEAN COUNTRIES who were selling their clothing(new & used) to us since time immemorial. That helped us to be acquainted with FASHION,the CHINESE,INDIANS,PAKISTANESE,didn't know of.But see, they dominate that sector because they had the cheapest labour for that matter.WHAT GOOD IS THIS HOPE CITY GOING TO DO FOR GHANA?
That is how I arrived at the CAPTION"
"I WILL USE US$10BN IN INDUSTRILIZATION,so a lasting and promotional jobs could be established in Ghana for our youth, the working force to get something better doing.

I can't understand how this unfortunate man we have as "President" thinks. How could Ghana afford such huge project when our environments stinks with uncleared garbage, shortage of ordinary drinking water, no electricity flowing, with death trapped roads, hospitals made death transit halls, huge unemployments, lack of school structures for the children and many many uncompleted state projects scattered hopelessly all around the country whilst the least talk about agriculture improvements the better?
Sometimes, I genuinely wonder if African heads of states have their heads well fitted to human bodies and do really sleep with the countries and people at hearts.
It's an outrageous to follow South Africa where there is what is called Sun City, but the majority of the Black people still lives in despicable inhumanly uninhabited ghettoes like and on the streets in the cold. Ghana should not copy blindly and let's build and satisfy ourselves with what we have now.

I am in two minds about this; if this project does happen in earnest, then it will not only provide jobs but also catalyze the development of Accra's infrastructure- and attract further investment by enhancing Ghana's reputation. Though as a sign of things to come we may end up like India- with spots of excellent development in particular areas, and absolute impoverishment and neglect in others.
However we all know of generously financed projects where a mole hill has literally been created where a mountain was promised...
Let's see.

This imaginary city is to be centrally located [between Brong Ahafo and Ashanti Regions]
Go out there, check and see if Accra is among the 10 most beautiful cities in Africa. We are not even close. We always blow our mouth to other Africans but in reality, Ghana is close to zero.
That is irrelevant , what about our rail systems, Electricity, water, the national carrier, an airport etc. those are the priorities.
Let's say a prayer for this laudable but seemingly over ambitious project, in view of our prevailing dificult circumstances, to come to fruition.

MR. PRESIDENT, WHY ARE YOU COMMISSIONING SUCH A TALL BUILDING IN KASOA OF ALL PLACES WHEN KASOA IS KNOWN TO BE AN UNSTABLE EARTHQUAKE ZONE?
What this project brings is increased rural-urban drift. This project should have been located somewhere in rural Ghana. No wonder traffic congestion is on the rise
Yet another STX-style scam by the master scammer, John Mahama, himself. Oh God, have mercy on Ghana!
