Kwaku b, you read but you do not understand the deep meaning of what you read. What the writer is saying is that there has always been corruption, tribalism and other vices in our society, so we should re-think as to reversing these attitudes for a better Ghana. Abuga Pele does not identify a specific establishment but says generally the problem is non-patroitism.

Hon. Abuga Orleans has aways been a shining example for us the youth in the upper east region. There are but just a few like him in Ghana politics. Great article.

Personally, I think the article is generally good. However, it seems too much praises have been heaped on Kwame Nkrumah and his government. I find that worrisome because Kwame Nkrumah's administration had its own weaknesses, including human rights abuses. Development is not all about the provision of physical infrastructure and I hope you've read more about how Nkrumah treated the very people who brought him from his hideout in the foreign land.
You also failed to identify the major cause (s) of the current problems you just talked about. Your party, and the people in your party have been the bane of Ghana's development. Your party claimed that most NPP members were corrupt yet for four solid years, none of them has been prosecuted. Your leader, John Mahama has been cited in many corrupt deals, including STX Korea and plane purchases. Your party has been doling monies to party's cronies like Woyome. The president sacks an Attorney-General all because he was determined to fight against corruption. The president influences the Electoral Commission to keep himself in power. Unemployment is high, in spite of the high taxes and revenue from exports. All boils down to mismanagement and incompetence on the part of the present government. The president has nominated more than half of his tribesmen as ministers of state. Haruna Iddrisu, whose region is noted for conflicts of all sorts is raising security issues in Ashanti Region, a region that is a safe-haven for victims of war all because he hates Asantes. John Mahama urged all Northerners to vote for him because he is one of them. So Honourable, how do you reconcile the above stated facts with your advice? Why do you expect Ghanaians to support the Black Stars when you take only NDC members to South Africa to support the team?

Honorable Abuga, you make some very valuable points and I accept that we need to work together as ONE NATION (under God I hope) to build, develop and meet the challenges for our people. But please tell me. How much cooperation and "working together" took place when your party was in opposition? The trouble is as you point out, that one party wins, and then the other refuses to cooperate. I want to challenge you to be a champion in parliament to work for a bipartisan MP caucus which will work towards this harmonization that you seem to be calling for. Would you do that for me please? And if you did some of us would support you and promote it.
May be that could be a fine legacy for you. As you know, being chosen as an MP is a very 'fluid cause' having been in and out of it yourself. I am a ONE-NATION patriot and advocate and will support anyone and any group from all parties who wish to see our nation move in that direction. Therefore I support your call but let your actions speak louder than your words. I am happy to dialogue with you on this.
