I don't know where you've been since 1979 when Rawlings burst onto the scene. If you have lived in Ghana, you would have known that attempts by individuals (young, middle-age, old alike) are always thwarted and stopped in their tracks by either (a)erratic electricity supply,(b)being from the wrong tribe at the wrong time, (c)bribe demands by officials of support institutions, and (d) government policies that PUNISH nationals' endeavours while rewarding foreigners'. So to answer your question, NO WAY!!

These charlatans fooled the masses into a poverty oriented mindset, while they cunningly positioned themselves to benefit from the inevitable re-introduction of capitalism.

Aduanaba, please think a little, Akans are over 40% of the population of Ghana. It is thus quite obvious that their contribution will more evident just by their sheer numbers. We must also not forget that for years they have had the lion's share when it comes to the distribution of the national cake, even during colonial times (read about the British and the educational policy for the Gold Coast). We have seen this sin the USA where the African American after years of deprivation has now started to show the world it's dynamism and ingenuity. There was a time when white Americans truly believed blacks weren't capable of anything but manual labour. Success and drive is down to the individual and the skills he/she is given and not his/her tribe.
