  The SFP must be scrapped. It is a costly social intervention which is quite unnecessary and has been unduly politicised.
  
  It is the responsibility of parents, not government, to feed their children. If parents cannot feed their children because they are poor, they should be assisted to find work to earn the means to feed their children. Government can help in this regard.
  
  The money saved from the SFP should be used to build schools to eliminate the obscene 'schools under trees', train more teachers, and provide resources for schools including increasing the capitation grant.

  Mr. Abdul-Karim Yahaya, East Gonja District Coordinating Director said - "the major problem facing school feeding in the area was inadequate and low quality of water supply noting that most communities in the area lacks water, especially in the dry season". The is what we call visionless leaders. Before implementing this feeding programme in those areas, Geovernment should have made available water for this project. How much will it cost the government to dig a bole hole water if individuals are able to acquire this clean water by themselves?
  
  It takes people with right thinking to come with ideas. My parents did not go to school but have had this clean water in our village before I was born in early '50s.

  Almost all the caterers, that is about 9o percentage of them are handpicked and some of them have little or no knowledge at all so far nutrition is concern. i am speaking with facts becos i am a desk officer in one of the districts in upper east region.
