Mr President could you please invites this experience players by yourself even if have to visit.
I will give you some of examples.
Cameroonian Roger Mila was invited by their president to come and help the team in USA world Cup when the player said he's retired and they managed to reach quarter final..
French President Zarkozy also invited Ziden to Korea Japan world cup and they reached final because the President find out that name ziden can cost more problems to other teams that they will meet.
Please Mr President we need Prince Boateng,Micheal ESSIEN,JOHN MANSAH and Sully Muntari.i dont think Sully is problem because he didn't go to the South Africa because of injury.

Look here I have said this so many times that modern day sports competition had taking a new dimension. The first thing is hard work and practice. Practice makes a man perfect.Height plays a major rule now in every competitive sports. The competitors with the combination of the two will always win soccer games or running. If Burkina was well coached, they would have won this African cup hands down. Burkina can go to the world cup finals if they are well coached. They are coachable soccer players. Meaning the players want to learn the game. Ghana had it going well when the country had players like Osei Kofi, Robert Menshah, Malik Jabri, Enfum the Baba Yara and Dougo Moro. They played for the flag of Ghana and not for the money
But some Ghanaian players are not coachable indeed. They feel they know too much but at the end they know very little. If a team like the black stars feel like they each had the skills, why is that they have not won the big ones yet. They miss shots from the goal line area and penalty kicks. We were taught to take penalty kicks at the primary school. Bullet shots don,t score they only go wide or over the bar.
We were taught by our sports teachers who were not Winneba trained or any coaching courses on how to position your body before the goal keeper. You don,t tilt your body position to one side but straight on the ball while you look at the keeper to read his body language. I still remember our middle school days, Malik Jabri never missed a penalty kick. WHY CAN,T APPIAH SEEK HELP FROM THE OLD PLAYERS IN THE COUNTRY. University professors invite people from outside to give lectures to the students on various fields but Appiah feels too big to do that.
Big tournaments are not meant for low IQ players. This is why I favor the no pass no play doctrine. Most Ghanaian players are not smart. What the guy did during the world and Ghana missed the penalty kick was very smart. Don,t allow a guy to only play soccer and can,t even speak one word of English.
President Mahama, if you want Ghana to lift up big tournaments trophies, carry out what you just mentioned in here. Bring back the inter-schools competition and Ghana academicals to always represent the country. The greatest obstacle in the country is tribalism and politics.
The better players are left behind because they can,t bribe the coaches or the sports officials to play. These two areas in Ghana sports should be dealt with some force. Hamidu does not see eye to eye with you guys but I pray and hope that you put him in-charge of the education and sports ministry on your next appointments.
The North can produce World class athletes if the facilities and training is giving. The guys I see on the streets from Tamale to Paga could be world class boxers, sprinters and good soccer players. There is something in athletics call the cathartic theory. When these individuals are help to channel their energies to productive usage, then they don,t become armed robbers and other anti-social issues. The three northern regions should have training facilities for boxing and other sports such as volleyball and field hockey.
Show me a nation which doesn,t have sporting programs for the youth and there you can find slow progress in many areas. Every child should be giving the chance by the country leaders to develop his/her fullest potentials.
