But knowing the way the corrupt system works in GHANA and this case calling the integrity of your own boss J A Kuffour into question, I doubt if this case gets far as I see it being jaskele'ed into judicial oblivion.

Is it true that the National Executive of the NPP directed its MPs not to attend the State of the Nation's address and the Parliamentary Group decided otherwise? That would be serious because though it is the right decision to attend, it opens a gap between the MPs and the party leadership. That is not good for party unity. I know the MPs have bowed to public opinion to attend against the decision of the party National Executive. I hope NDC does not make political capital out of this. I hope they do attend because it should have no implications on the petition before the Supreme Court. It's a good decision for the party, democracy and Ghana as a whole.

It is a lawless criminal group whose name changes in every era (NLM/UP/PP/PFP and now NPP). The NPP think they can cherry pick and lay down the law as they wish. It isn't that easy otherwise beggars would be the best jockeys. This continues primitive behaviour of the NPP is not acceptable in any civilized society. The good people of Ghana must call them to order. MPs swear oath to serve Ghana not party or any group.

Have this intransigence, incurable, dyed-in the-wool, nation wreckers ever thought of helping/acceleration the progress Ghana instead of always applying the brakes all the time? What if their forebears had cooperated and collaborated with Kwame Nkrumah to help catapult Ghana to the industrial age like our peers Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan, etc; Ever thought of that? You will remember how peaceful and orderly the president´s inauguration was when they were absent. Notice also how orderly and successful the appointments committee has so far been conducted without them.

Indeed, Ghana would have been much better of without this party called NPP.

Why can´t they perpetually excuse themselves from all important national programmes for perfect peace to prevail in our country?

The NPP leadership lacked foresight to understand the implication of their decision to boycott everything involving President Mahama.
The President’s swearing-in ceremony was a constitutional requirement for him to start his 4-year mandate. Even the Supreme Court Judges who are hearing NPP's petition were fully represented but the NPP defied the constitution and boycotted it.
Then come the vetting of the President's ministerial nominees which was another constitutional requirement for the President to assemble his team to assist him in his mandate. The NPP again boycotted.
Now it's time for the State of the Nation Address before Parliament, another constitutional duty. Thank God NPP MPs are now seeing the light to make them defy Akufo Addo and co.
It's good to take a matter to court for resolution - that is legal. But to take the law into your own hands to resolve what you have already sent before a court is simply, lawlessness. What the NPP must know is that, while the case is being resolved in the court, Ghana still has to move on. Institutions of state must function. I don't think NPP wants the country to grind to a halt just because Akufo Addo failed to become president.

They are attending the Nation's Address because their constituents have began to complain about their behaviour. Four years will come and all of us will see what will happen to them in this Ghana. They claim Ghanaians have short memories. Let those of them misbehaving now take caution from those of them wasting their time in the courts protesting against the Parliamentary elections because they were rejected by the people. It is shameful and immature for anyone from the NDC to make mockery or try to milk the situation. This decision is good for Ghana's democracy.
