I strongly urge the Asawase MP to understand GMO deeply first before making any statement. Indeed, GMOs are threats to our local agric.

What is the background of this useless minister. When countries all over the world are trying to do away with GMOs, this stupid minister talks about enhancing GMOs in Ghana. Am sure, this man is not a scientist and does not know much about GMOs. Does he know about the numerous genetic health hazards GMOs have on people who eat GMOs products. This man is just not fit to be the minister of Agric. He should come to europe and see how politicians and citizens are kicking against GMOs. Ghanaians should not be used as guinea pigs. Clement Kofi Humado is not only stupid but also not acedemically sound. He knows little about agric and must be sacked.

The newly sworn in Minister said experience had shown him GMO seeds are more demanding for chemicals such as fertilizer than other seeds making it quite difficult for small scale farmers to manage.' He goes on to say we have to be liberal. Where is he saying GMO is prefereed? For your information he is an agriculturist unlike you who cannot even understand BASIC English

Kojo, Humado advocated the use of GM to boost agric production at his vetting.
If he is not advocating use of GM seeds why is he lamenting the high cost of these seeds?

We do not need GM to boost agric production. THe safety of this technology is not proven. GM food is banned in New Zealand and other countries. Why do we want to allow it in our country? We should be very prudent with foreign things - we should not just adopt anything foreign without thought.
What we need is to support our small-scale farmers and help them to market their produce. This is the sure way to boost agric production.
Let us ban GM production in our country immediately!

Humado, do not allow us to become a testing and dumping ground for others.
Let us rely on our own resources to achieve food self-sufficiency. Help the small-scale farmers to produce more. Eliminate post-harvest losses by helping farmers bring food produce to markets. Provide farmers with credit facilities. Help them to form co-operatives and pool their resources together. Provide extension services to address problems facing farmers.

Did our lawmakers do their home work before passing the law on GMO foods? or they took money from Western advocates of GMO. Our leaders are selfish and hopeless and many of our people ignorant voting on tribal lines! Did some take money to promote GMO in Ghana like someone goes and take money from a gay known millionaire activist and claims he is not aware? hyporite!! For someone who is to defend the laws of Ghana against homos, he she must be seen to be having such close associating with one! It is a recipe for conflict of interest and brings the Presidency into disrepute. When you a President you symbolise the nation and u lose some privacy hence you can not behavoire like any ordinary Ghanaian. May they dont even understand the role they are playing. ONLY THEY JUST WANT POWER TO DO WANT THEY WANT! GOD IS WATCHING!!
