I simply cannot understand where you are coming from. First of all the minister is not going there to advocate for homosexuality or any one group. She will be running a whole ministry. Secondly, if as her CV suggests she had human rights credentials, surely you must expect that the bulk of the work of the ministry will be around family, social and protective issues and she is well qualified to do these things. My overriding interest is to see if she is able to perform well as a minister. Stop this nonsense and hypocrisy that is being branded about. Many of us are Christians and have our values regarding a lot of things but that should be kept outside politics.

You are entitled to your views and your stance, but don't impose them on t he rest of society. What about the many ungodly things that happen in our schools, churches, mosques, universities etc.? When are you going to start campaigning for others to be removed from their posts because of those things? Now we know some female students "bribe" their way into good grades with their bodies in our Universities. When are you going to start campaigning against those lecturers? Give us all a break will you?

It baffles my mind how Nana Oye's appointment has been managed by Ghanaians, the ministry is gender, children and social protection and the only concerns Ghanaians have is about homosexuals, I am sad: compared the rate at which women are being murdered and sometimes children included to homosexuality which one should be debated? Because the clergy has no regard for women, killing them is no issue for debate. We sweat the little things. There is the dark figure in criminology and homosexuality in my opinion should have been one. Now it's not Nana Oye that will promote it but rather it's those calling attention to it. The clergy, NUGS and now Sherita Frimponmaa that will expose our children. Since the clergy started, everyday there is a write up on homosexuality and children will quiz it out to find. We will be worse off if the president does anything different from what has happened now. Let train our children in the right direction and hope and pray that they will abide by that. Nana Oye comes in only when socialization fails, they turn homosexuals and people want to take the laws into their own hands. In short if that is what brings food onto Nana Oye's table, let's starve her by being straight in sexual orientation terms,
