The NPP is following the rule of law and using legitimate tools such as walkouts, boycotts etc. to adress their grievances. Your party did the same in several instances.
Elections in Ghana have never been free and fair, but the 2012 elections have been the worst. That is why all the political parties have been complaining with the exception of the NDC, because they benefitted from it. The NDC core base is uneducated, which they bribe. While the educated ones are being brutalized.NDC as a entity is not a political party, but rather an election machine. Even their election machine is not a proper machine, they always try to put in place schemes, that will allow them to twist and turn the elections in their favour. They are only interested in power for the sake of power.
In the 2004 elections the NDC challenged the election results at the supreme court. Mills and Rawlings boycotted the inauguration of President Kufuor. Victor smith then announced they wouldn`t even watch it on TV.
Prior to the elections in 2008 Mills warned that the NDC would not entertain any attempt by the NPP to steal the verdict of the people again. He warned the nation to expect mayhem if the party suspects the results of the December polls were rigged in favour of the NPP. He threatened to turn Ghana into Kenya if elections were rigged in favour of the NPP.
Your NDC even boycotted the state of the nation address by President Kufuor in 2007.When the NHIS Act was being passed in Parliament, the NDC walked out of parliament. When Kufuor said, he will implement FREE compulsory universal basic education, your NDC said it was not possible. When Kufuor discovered the oil, they said it was engine oil and Kufuor was just wasting tax payers money. When June 4th was declared no more to be an public holiday, they boycotted parliament. When Enoch Teye Mensah ,former Youth and Sports Minister was incarcerated they boycotted parliament for 3 days. When Tsatsu Tsikata was convicted for causing loss to the state, they boycotted parliament for 13 good days and carried out demonstrations for a whole good year. The NDC boycotted Parliament in solidarity with Mr Dan Abodakpi, MP for Keta and Former Minister of Trade and Industry who had been jailed for 10 years by an Accra Fast Track High Court for causing financial loss to the state. Mr Asiedu-Nketiah said even if the boycott took several days or years, the NDC would ensure that justice was done. Your Asiedu Nketia even stated no one could be disloyal to the party and continue to belong to it.I could go on and on. What has the (P)NDC done except for collapsing state owned enterprises and ghanaian private businesses? Oh I forgot, the PNDC has also been very good at killing and arresting innocent Ghanaians without a charge or trial.

Nana Bawuah, you guys must be ashamed of yourselves for displaying immaturity. An election has been held, you are disssatisfied with the results. According to your holy rule of law you can go to the Supreme Court to seek redress. Why are you displaying igonarance now by embarking on boycotts, useless and negative propaganda to push your way through. Again, according to your rule of law the court has to address issue and come pout with a verdict. Are you being human by forcing negaive actions through the throats of even your own supporters. More or less, you are beng absolute nuisance and do not deserve to be a political party and even to get voted into power. You guys are being very stupid and selfish as if you have to rule Ghana by all means. Tellall Ghanaians to vote for you by alll means but note that in a democracy everybody cannot vote for one party. It is the lectorate that decide not the cronies and useless hiearcrachy of the party. Until you guys get rid of your ignorance and nuisance you do not deserve to rule this country...and blame yourselves for your inability to win elections. This is because ghanaians are not interested in what you are doing. You are creating tension, division and almost all people of good thinking are getting fed up with your party. Why are you "akanfo" so negatively difficult. You want to force issues down our throats. NPP is behaving like the proverbial goat...And blame yourselves if you don't win 2016 which we all doubt. You will have to fold up as a political party soon cos we are all fed up with your nonsense. Youi can't force your party into power...just to rule and ruin and steal. ONLY GOD KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN SHOULD NPP RULE GHANA AGAIN. DON'T BE SURPRISED IF NPP IS BOOTED OUT OF POWER SHOULD THEY EVER WIN AN ELECTION. iN OUR MINDS, NPP are not competent and reliable enough to rule and run this country.

First of all I am not a member of any party. Secondly, I am not any of your "guys". Then your NDC after losing its case at the supreme court in 2005, they continued to carry out boycotts. They even threatened Ghanaians that they would turn the country into Kenya, if the then upcoming elections were once again rigged in favour of NPP. Beside filling a petition at the supreme court, boycotts, demonstrations, walkouts are other legitimate means available to address its grievances. But what do I expect from a military party and a bunch of riff raffs, that have never respected the rule of law, not even basic human rights. Keep crying, but truth always pops up no matter how long surpressed.

...Thank you, Nana Bawua, for your erudite history of the Akans. I'm deeply grateful and educated, but by half! So is what you have just described Ghana? Hell with your Asonas and whoever the Asantehene is. I want a description of GHANA and GHANAIANS. What is Ghana?
Because you have just described ancient Akan history doesn't make the Frafras not have ancient Frafra history, or for that matter, the Dagomba. Listen, the link between the Dagombas and the Asantes is well known, but it is not of blood. The Dagombas came from around Chad or some such place, led by one Naa Gbewaa; and the Akans, my friend, the Akans [read Adu Boahen’s History of West Africa] came from present day Mali, which was once something called GHANA EMPIRE.
So the Akan’s by that definition may well be like any other nomadic group, which wandered into today’s Ghana. Therefore, the Akans and the Dagombas are so different and are two separate people, from two distinctly different places! Stop trying to make a link. Now what about the Guans - Pres Mahama's people? They, too, came down the Black Volta River south-eastward from Mali and Guinea and Burkina Faso into present day Ghana. Will you refuse to accept the Eves, too? After all a referendum in 1956 made them Ghanaians.
Also, my friend, you are too simple, I mean intellectually. To try to cross Ghana into Ivory Coast and spring up the Buales is so disingenuous. Ok, right, could we also go to, say, the Dagatis, Gurunsis and Busangas of Upper West and East Regions of today’s Ghana and tell them, hey guys, we find you in Burkina Faso and Togo as well; what are you doing in Ghana?! Or could we say that to the Bimobas, Konkombas, Bassare, Kotokolis, and Chorkosis of Northern Region of present day Ghana and say, guys you are in Togo as well; what you doing here in Ghana in such large chunks?
My friend, go and read GHANA's POLITICAL and CONSTITUTIONAL history well; do not bring me Gold Coast history. GOLD COAST ENDED IN 1957. Ghana. Ghana. Ghana!

Are Bonos and Akwamus not Akans? Go and tell the Aduana-Akan/Asante of Agogo, Kumawu, Asumegya, Kwamang or even Dormaa, which are all Akwamus, that they are not Akans. Go and tell the Akwamus of Asafo, Adum and Barekese (Bantama) in Kumasi, that they are not Akans. Go and tell large parts of Kumasi and Bono-Ahafo, which are of Akwamu descent that they are not Akans. Go and tell the Bonos of whom most still belong to Asanteman, that they are not Akans. Even the ancient ruling house of Bono-Manso, they were of the Oyoko clan. Therefore they were of the same clan and matrilineal blood family as the Asantehene. Do you think only Asante and Akyem states are Akans? Akans consists of Bono, Akwamu, Denkyira, Asante, Fante, Kwahu, Nzema, Assin, Baule (Asante), Abron, Ahafo, Koromante,Aowin and many many more. Do you think Asanteman consists only of Asante region? The constitution clearly states that it transcends regional boundaries. It consists of almost the whole of Bono-Ahafo (formerly Western Asante), states in the Volta region like Worawora, states in the Eastern region like Koforidua (New Juaben) and many other places. Do you think Eastern region only consists of Akyem? Therein are many Akwamus and Asantes as well. After all Accra and most of the Eastern region used to be part of Akwamuman. Do you know, why there is Dagomba-Kotoko? Do you know why the Dagombas despite being given independence by the British still come to Kumasi to celebrate Akwasidae? Do you know what this means? Whether you like it or not, Ghana and Ivory Coast are largely Akan dominated areas.
P.s. When did Nana Akufo Addo become an Akyem-Abuakwa or Asona royal. Nana Akufo Addo is of the Oyoko clan, which is the ruling clan in Asante. He is of the same clan like the Asantehene and therefore related to him by blood. Whilst Alan Kyeremanten as an Ejisu-Asona royal is of the same clan like the Okyenhene (i.e. Asona clan). The people of the Asona clan are one people, the ancestors of Ejisu and Offinso in Asante and of Akyem Abuakwa left Adanse after being defeated to settle at their various locations.

The minority should stop going to parliament entirely, and cease drawing their salaries. I guess whatever comes to parliament will have something to do with the “illegitimate” President, be it appointment, loan approval, new bill, budget etc. Upon taking this initial decision to boycott the inauguration of John Mahama, it flows naturally for them to carry through with their plan by exempting themselves from any subsequent developments that have something to do with John Mahama. The question is: how long can they continue with this? Remember, the court case can drag over 4 years. With no work, how do their consciences tell them if salaries are drawn at the end of the month. Ghanaians are watching and remember posterity will not forgive them. They need to re-strategize. This current strategy appears not to be good. Besides, being counter-productive it will come back to haunt them later. Asem beba dabi!

Why do Ghanaians hate the truth? The clergy and all those against the minority standing up to their principles should blame Afari Gyan and all those who behave like Ghana is their property. What the minority is doing is to save the country but some people are not looking at the bigger picture. the country is collapsing due to the narrow thinking of those leading it. For Ghan to move forward things have to be done properly. What would it have cost Afari Gyan to wait one day to do the right thing? DON'T blame the minority. There is too much hypocracy in Ghana and that must stop!!!!

Am prompted to question these walkout.
DO THEY FORFEIT THEIR SALARY AND BENEFITS FOR "WALKOUT" ?
Its time the civil society rise up against these nation wreckers .
Current development by the NPP Minority is bound to affect their performances in the next 2016 election
The public can't be foooled all along.
NPP Minority collect monthly pay and bonus and beefits eeven after walkout and offering nothing .nothing to support the public that look up to them as lawmakers for a change ..
