When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwasi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwasi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwasi Prat can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Prat and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratts recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Patt has the gut to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

WHATEVER IT IS THE BONE HAS TAKEN POSITION IN THEIR THROAT AND THE EARLIER THEY DECIDE THE BETTER. TO VOMIT INVOLVES DIRECTLY AND OPENLY ACKNOWLEDGING JM AS THE PRESIDENT OR INDIRECTLY ACKNOWLEDGING HIM BY JOINING OTHERS TO SIT ON THE COMMITTEE TO VET THE MINISTERS HE HAS APPOINTED WHICH WILL GO TO INDICATE THAT THEY HAVE REVERSED THEIR STAND AND NOW SEE HIM AS THE PRESIDENT. THIS IS BY WAY OF PASSING THROUGH THE BACKDOOR TO SAY WE ARE BACK TO OUR SENSES. IF THEY PROVE STUBBORN THEN THEY WILL HAVE TO CONTINUE TO KEEP THE BONE IN THEIR THROAT BY ABSENTING THEMSELVES FROM DISCUSSING ALL THAT WILL COME FROM THE PRESIDENT OR THE MINISTERS HE HAS APPOINTED IN HIS CAPACITY AS PRESIDENT SHOULD THOSE ISSUES COME BEFORE PARLIAMENT. A natural consequence? A right to strike/boycott is a basic human right and a natural consequence to adress his grievances. Its only in Ghana, where western democracy has been copied, but still no proper striking culture is in place. In any proper western country in the world, people getting paid, in particular in the public sector, they can even abandon their work place the entire year and yet they will be paid full salary. Anyway, who cares about this tiny salary? What do they earn? 72.000 Cedis? this is not even a money!
Did you also complain about NDC when they abandoned or walked out of parliament on so many critical issues? Did you also complain when they boycotted Kufuor state of the nation adress in 2007? Did you complain when Mills and Rawlings boycotted the swearing in of President Kufuor in 2005? Did you complain, when Rawlings and Mills challenged the election results of 2004 at the supreme court? Did you complain when Mills threatened to cause mayhem and to turn Ghana into Kenya, if the NDC should suspect the elections 2008 were rigged in favour of NPP?

Remember Tsatsu was the guy who set up the "kangaroo courts", then known as people's court, where people were presumed guilty and had to go through a semblance of a trial. Tsatsu, Rawlings, Kofi Awoonor etc. are worse than the people they accused of being corrupt. He is no legal luminary as some people would like others to believe.

Already there exists a forum to deal with such conduct by MPs. In advanced counties, votes elect people to represent them in Parliament, based on the competence of the MP. If after being elected he decides to act in his own favor or even his party's against the interest of voters, he is voted out of office in next elections.
I wish Ghanaian votes will we mature enough to punish these MPs by voting some else next time.
This is the code of ethics that we, voters, can set for our MPs. Right now they think they are doing us a favou by representing us when in truth they applied to us for the job and we gave it to them. If they fail to deliver, as they are doing now, we must fire them. It is as simple as that.
That is why in countries like the UK, MPs go against their own parties' decisions because they know that their constituents will punish them if they accept those decisions against the interest of their constituents.
Voters have the real political power, not MPs or parties. We need to wisen up in Ghana and bring these arrogant politicians , of all paties, to book.

In the UK you are covered by Parliamentary immunity for statements made in the House. But you cannot go on the radio and incite violence. You will be suspended from parliament even before the next election takes place. If you are under Police investigation, you will be suspended from the Parliamentary Party. It appears our MPs get carried away with the "Honourable" titles they have been given and see that as an immunity cloak to act irresponsibly.
In the UK MPs are not called Honourable unless they belong to the Privy Council then they become Right Honourable. They are MPs, full stop. Why do we even call our MPs honourable?

In Germany, politicians dont use title such as honourable or excellency. They dont even use academic titles such as Dr. or Prof, Germany is not a nation of degree worshippers unlike the British. German managers and politicians steal left and right, but barely get cought. With a few exception such as the last President, who was forced to resign. In Germany, there is a very low voting participation. 60% voting participation would already bconsidered to be very high. Usually its around 40%. No party will ever receive more than 40% of votes. The two biggest parties usually get about 30% (-+) and then have to form a coalition with one of the smaller parties to obtain majority.
In Germany you can say whatever you want in public unless you do not violate the constitution. To violate the constitution this must be proven before the constitiutional court, which is not easy.

You see how little you know about Germany...
Some time ago, the former central bank excecutive Thilo Sarrazin, wrote a book where he described Jewish people and Muslim immigrants in Germany as socially, culturally, and intellectually inferior, due to generic roots. He stated, that they are less intelligent than germans and therefore the populatin is going to be significantly dumber. He had been invited to many media platforms, where he defended his positions. Just to mention a few out of many. By the way, didnt the British politician Nigel Farage describe Beligum as not being a country some time ago? How come violent racists parties have not been banned in Germany yet? Even though the government tried to achieve this at the constitutional court, but anytime they went there they lost the case.
If you want to stop violence in Ghana, then better ban the violent PNDC/NDC military party of riff raffs.

Of all the relevant issues facing Ghana and crying out for resolution, a lecturer at Legon has the time to yap about a political kabuki dance between an NDC that is afraid of its own shadow and an NPP that is classless to consider its members intellectuals.
Who cares if these appointees are not vetted? As long as they are paid by the very same fools who think by not participating in the duties of parliamentarians, issues about the 2012 elections would self-resolve. And if perhaps the NPP elite forgot to consider implications of their actions, unless and until the so-called Supreme Court of Ghana render a decision, Ghana must function. Here is the dilemma facing the self-anointed party of intellectuals: Ghana has to function and to do so parliament has to do its job even in the absence of an executive branch. But guess what folks; Mahama was at the last count Ghana's vice president who was sworn in by parliament. He happens to be the head of the executive branch. His term may have expired but that is where the constitution should come into play if those who drafted our "wonderful" constitution foresaw these tantrums.

But at the same time, they are failing their constituents who elected them to do these things on their behalf. After all, essentially these MPs came to us to apply for the position as our representatives. We gave them the job only for them to decide when they will go to work, and what job, THEY choose to do. Someboby tell me, how many employers will tolerate such an employee?
I say that since they are failing us, by not doing what we elected them to do we should dismiss them. Unfortunately, we cannot do this until the next elections. In countries like the UK and USA, voters don't forgive their MP's who insult them by such conduct that is why those MPs even rebel against their own parties if they know their parties decisions will be offensive to their constituents. MPs dont want to lose their jobs. But in Ghana, they think we are fools and will continue to vote for them regardless of what they do, or don't do. I think they will be right if we forgive them this time.

Most of the writers here cannot even write English. Their basic education is poor and you can tell the way they string sentences together. They are bankrupt of ideas and tend to repeat what they have heard or read.
When they cannot respond to an argument with facts they make some facts up and end with insults. This is the legacy of failed successive governments, in educating Ghanaians, after Kwame Nkrumah. We are no longer a nation called Ghana. We are now a nation of northerners, Ewes, Ashantis and Fantis, etc. We have lost the plot of unity.
Even after elections the 'winning' party and its spokespersons under the leadership of Mahama are still belligerent in their speeches instead of being concilliatory for unity. They are still in the campaign mode of villification, insults and damn right abuse; Nketia, for example, is now the defacto spokesperson telling the country what the president can do and cannot do.
It is a shame Ghanaians have been reduced to this level of political backwardness and illiteracy.
