There is no need to sideline any of the Judges. All should participate because the CI-74 does not allow judicial review in this case and no need to keep two Judges in reserve. I really don't understand the way we do things in Ghana. All the Supreme Court Justices should participate in all the rulings.

The Supreme Court Judges doing this case owe it a duty to expedite action on this serious matter before them. They are Ghanaians and can judge the mood of the country and see from their windows hoodlums wielding weapons at the Court premises. And I, like many Ghanaians, hate all forms of violence that can emanate from all this hoopla!
The SC must therefore do everything possible to resolve this impasse as quickly as possible. We know the tendency of our Court system to delay proceedings with unnecessary adjournments and writs. Not this time when there is so much to do in one of the poorest, dirtiest, deprived, underdeveloped country on earth with very high rate of morbidity and mortality; a country in need of drinking water, gutters/drainage, good sanitation, productive education system, mass employment of our youth and above all IRRIGATED AGRICULTURE!
GHANA CANNOT AFFORD ANY PROTRACTED LITIGATION AT THIS STAGE OF OUR UNDERDEVELOPMENT. GHANA IS A VERY POOR COUNTRY WITH MANY PROBLEMS. THE FOCUS OF POLITICIANS MUST BE DEVELOPMENT AND NOT ANY SHOW TRIAL. COULD THE SUPREME COURT THEREFORE HELP US ALL BY DEALING WITH THIS CASE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE?
The Electoral Commissioner must just follow suit and wait for whatever evidence the NPP is bringing to the Court room. Do you go out to meet a band coming to your own premises?
lAWYERS Quashie Idun, Tsatsu Tsikata, Paul Addison and the teams of lawyers they lead, and certain to benefit from huge LEGAL FEES, must also put the interest of the country above their parochial ones.
I strongly believe this Court action will strengthen democracy and cut out electoral malpractices, overweening authority of the irritating Electoral Commissioner, corruptive practices of incumbent government during elctions, BUT I cannot see a change of mandate, nor do I even wish for it for one simple reason: THE WELL KNOWN VIOLENCE OF NDC LEADERS AND SUPPORTERS.
The Mahama-led NDC Government will not spend Billions of Chinese and State monies to buy 1 Million Motor Bikes, 1.3 Million Laptops, Yomi, cloths, ‘hweasambo’, ‘bontua’, pre-paid meteres, outboard motors, saloon cars, SUVU vehicles and monies to bribe chiefs, students, fishermen and ordinary voters to win elections and then surrender it on a silver platter over a Court action, you bet.
I love and respect Nana Akuffo Addo in whatever he does, including this Court Action; but Supreme Court is the final arbiter and they must do this case quickly. All must therefore rein in their horses.
It is therefore important to sound a word of caution to NPP people criticising elements in the Party fundamentally opposed to the Court action. The Party does not belong to any one single individual or faction. We all can dissent and disagree to agree on any issue. BUT they must be very careful!
The P/NDC is one of the most dangerous political organisations the world has ever known: They created CDO, CDR, PDC, WDC, JFM, TFDWM, UCF, BNI, COMMANDOS, AZORKA BOYS, NDC FOOT SOLDIERS, imposed a three year curfew on us at peacetime, incarcerated and exiled pthousands of prominent Ghanaians, destroyed markets and hotels, sold 330 State Proerties with impunity and led by murderers and certified loonies, who can even drive cars through human beings and send their supporters to beat up political opponents. I have scars behind my back, and my beloved brother was a victim, and have even worked with them and know these people a bit. The PNDC is heavily supported bymany officers in Ghana Army, Police, Fire Service, Customs and still have Kojo Tsikata in their midst: A most dangerous human being ever born in Ghana, who could order the murder of Judges and bury them in mass graves. The Founder of NDC is JJ Rawlings who actually killed three heads of States in a week and forced to their premature deaths two elected Presidents. Every bad person I know in my town and Ghana support NDC. They can destroy and kill for fun. Politics is their career and they have made fortune out of it, and continue to do so. I hope NPP supporters are aware that NDC are a lawless body, even led by in the Supreme Court now by an ex-convict, or can appoint prisoners as Ambassadors. Did Obetsebi Lamptey get his bungalow after the Supreme Court Ruling had ruled in his favour? NO. A Professor of law, who was the Executive President, acted against the decision!
BUT on the other hand, NDC people must not underestimate NPP. They claim the Party is Asante-led: They must go back to history and learn the prowess and determination of the brave warrior tribe that ruled three quarters of Ghana until they were defeated by the British in 1874. They can destroy these feeble Ewes and Northerners and poor elements in the bogus NDC party. BUT is that what we all want when Ghana is so poor and need all of us to work together for the country’s development?
That is why the august Supreme Court must do this case expeditiously!

an anathema to our Constitution.
The new legislature should devote a lot more attention to scrutinzing all future pieces of legislation to ensure they conform to the spirit and letter of the 1992 Constitution which is the supreme law(Bible) of the land! While everybody`s attention was focused on CI 78,we allowed all sorts of. "poison" to seep into our laws.
If haste and dispatch has become the watchword, then why don`t we streamline the whole court process to put an end to all the protracted litigation we are all familiar with?
I believe we should make haste slowly, especialy in election matters.
In this petition, we have seen how one side wants to engage in "subterfuge" to wrestle political power it is not entitled to!

Besides that, the Asante regional minister only exists on the goodwill of Asanteman. We have been developing without relying on government support and we will continue to do so. Even a small Odikro (not even an Omanhene) can undermine the authority of the central government in Asante.

In my opinion, NPP's ability to challenge the elections is a sign that Ghana is maturing and democracy is working. NDC should bear with the court proceedings and both parties should accept the court's rulings. I believe both parties want what is best for Ghana. In the end, what I envision is that both parties can come together and make Ghana what it was supposed to be when it attained independence, an economic power. Ghana needs selfless leaders and patriotic citizens to become a developed nation. Anything less than that will not work. I am appealing to both Hon. Mahama and Mr. Addo to think about Ghana and not anything else. I hope people of Ghana will allow Mr. Addo a chance to become a president one day. Mark my word, you will say, I told you so. Good luck, Hon. Mahama. I believe you are up to the task ahead of you. Make Ghana and our ancestors proud. This opinion is my own. God bless Ghana.
