What makes Brobbey thinks the N.D.C will not perpetuate this evil act again in the 2016? with the likes of evil Afari Gyan? If he thinks they are stabbing Nana Akuffo Addo in the back and bring their choice for the 2016 elections then he should forget it.Why is he so interested in the 2016 elections? when there is a disputed election? If Dr Brobbey has learnt simple logic @ university,he should have known that partaking in the bye-elections undermine our challenging of the credibility of EC and until the supreme court resolves the matter the electoral commission cannot be trusted for holding any credible elections in Ghana hence our refusal not to take part in the bye-elections.
If Wereko-Brobbey has enriched himself with the Ghana @50 monies and he is okey he should allow us to build the party for our future development and the country as a whole.

The history is that when the SMC II, after the palace coup that overthrew Kutu Acheampong, decided to return Ghana to constitutional rule the UP tradition opened the contest for candidature to its party stalwarts, which included Victor Owusu and Paa Willie. Most party members favoured Paa Willie for his age and temperament, and advised Victor Owusu to give Paa Willie the chance and wait for his turn. However, Victor Owusu would not agree and was adamant on leading the Popular Front Party (PFP). This caused some members, including the Late General Kwasi Amankwaa Afrifa to break from the PFP to form the United National Convention (UNC) and make Paa Willie their leader. This move effectively split the front of the PFP and caused Victor Owusu to lose the elections against Dr Hilla Limann of the PNP. Victors Owusu's followers did not forgive Paa Willie and his followers, until they came back and rejoined the group to form the NPP.

Wereko Brobbey is the nephew of Victor Owusu and the legacy of that bad blood could still be running in him against Nana Addo who is related to Paa Willie.

1) why did Paa Willie decide to leave the PFP because he hard turned evangelist but would rather accept to lead the UNC, and

2) how does Afrifa's wanting "power by all means" fit into this narrative? I mean could you explain its relation to the formation of the UNC. why didn't Afrifa lead the party himself but would rather hand over to Paa Willie?

They perceive him as arrogant, anglicised, aloof, out of touch, privileged and strongly believe that the presidency is not a birth right for anyone. They perceive him as arrogant and non-winnable. No court in the land can change that perception. Leave Wereko Brobbey alone. The leadership of the party does not like to listen to the bitter truth, even when it is glaringly obvious.
