99.9% of all those who smuggle fuel and fertilisers to the neighbouring countries are NPP members. They have vowed to ensure that the NDC is rendered very unpopular in the municipality.

Ghanaians must therefore appeal to Nana Addo to retract his all-die-die-be-die fatua. His followers are applying it in many diverse ways.

But tell me, how come that all those who are arrogant, insulting , those who use foul language and all those who are so greedy that they want Ghana's resources for their personal use have all filtered to NPP?

Be a good slave and go back to cotton plantation..We all know you walk every where you go and own no car..Gas(petro) is $3.16 per gal in usa (4 litres) and that is too high priced!

The fuel smuggling in Bawku is nothing as compared to what is happening in Navrongo, Paga and other parts of the Upper East. Bawku is not smuggling at all please.

It is a fact that the fuel prices in Ghana is cheaper than our neighboring countries although we continue to say that the cost of our fuel is high,this is due to our dirty politics whereby we criticized everything a seating government does.Because of our attitude others take advantage to do all they can and turn round and blame the government.I don't know the measures the authorities in Bawku will take to arrest this smuggle of fuel.However I want to suggest to them to think of introducing ration coupons in Bawku for this can arrest the situation.This means that those not having vehicles this include motors,corn mill and others will find it difficult to purchase the fuel and smuggle.The Fuel dealers are also to be held accountable.Smuggle is not about a particular party but all manners of people are involve.It is time we enforce our own laws and stop comparing Ghana to other countries because the way they go about things is quiet different from ours.The same measures can be introduce at our border towns.

AUTHORITIES IN THE UE/R SHOULD BE BLAMED FOR RAMPANT FUEL SMUGGLING. NAVRONGO AND PAGA ARE THE WORST PLACES IN THE FUEL SMUGGLING BUSINESS.
THE QUESTION THAT NEED TO BE ANSWERED IS, 'WHY THE NUMEROUS FUELING STATIONS (NOT LESS THAN TEN) BETWEEN NAVRONGO AND A SMALL TOWN LIKE PAGA'. THE RESPONSIBILTY OF FUEL SMUGGLING SHOULD BE PLACED SQUARELY ON THE REGIONAL AUTHRITIES WHO ISSUED OUT PERMIT FOR THE NUMEROUS FUEL STATIONS. THE AUTHORITIES MUST TAKE SERIOUS LOOK AT THE ISSUE, OTHERWISE THE CANKER WILL PERSIST.

Petroleum fuel has always been short for a very long time. It is time, the government really give in for an establishment of a private refinery. The market is there, not only in Ghana but nearby countries. Even Nigerian imports refined oil. Fuel subsidy should be dropped. It must be a no compromise decision by the government to bring the price to market level.
A second refinery would bring capacity supplies and even some for export to neighbouring countries.
A government that believes in State-holding company like NDC, would still keep pushing GHAIP, the commercial banks and importantly, the people of Ghana struggling always for fuel.
