Sakara was with Nylander all the time but, being the scheming opportunist he is, he "broke" away when Nylander lost to try an inside job. He voted for Nylander and never liked Samia. The hypocrite educated all his kids in Europe then turns around to blurb crap about somebody else not being "culturally-sensitive". It's unbelievable somebody aspiring to lead a Pan-Africanist party would engage in such xenophobic/racist nonsense. Why doesn't he go and join any of the tribalist parties in Ghana or form one of his own!

The man is young and bright. He is someone I would love to have on board to lead the youth and also play important role should the party wins the presidency. I also know he is not qualified for in 2012 and 2016 flagbearership of the party. This guy could and can not win his own village. How was he expected to help the party's parliamentary candidates with his influence when he himself can not win a parliamentary seat in the village he was born? That is why the snub of Kwesi Nduom from the party was senseless and suicidal. Kwesi Nduom should have been used to market our future leaders for 2012 and 2016. I do not like him but in politics, compromise is a good tool. Those who chose this guy to lead the party in 2012 are themselves more at fault than he who accepted it knowing very well that his education and youthfulness alone was not enough to handle to task!!!!

Comrade Samoray Ture, if Kwesi Nduom is my friend, I would have encouraged him to stay in the CPP and fight for his beliefs and vision for the party. I hate political prostitutes. I do not like the guy at all but in politics, a hunter is the one who shows his barbecue on the grill. I will welcome Idi Amin if that will give us some parliamentary seats. Kwame Kwakye was Dr Nkrumah's favourite in Akyem Kotoku despite the fact that people like Dr Attafuah and Prof Mensah were royals and intellectuals who lobbied for DC Kwakye's post. CPP was never going to win the 2012 presidential election therefore why drive Nduom out to replace him with an unknown and financially strapped folk like Dr Sakara. Why not pair Dr Sakara with him and use his resources to market Dr Sakara? Yesterday, people in Kumasi were crying for Akwasi Agyemang. Name recognition matters and having lots of money does not hurt either. Remember, the name of the game is POLITICS!!!!!!

You are a fair-minded and decent person. But what you are suggesting unfortunately will lead to pragmatic politics without principles. I agree with you that compromise is essential in politics. That is not the problem. The problem is what do we stand for, in which direction do we want to move? Take a look, my brother, at South Africa and the ANC. Who would have thought that a black majority government would send troops to massacre gold miners? And just yesterday there was news about the police shooting at agricultural workers in South Africa! Nothing has improved for the majority of black people in South Africa who continue to live in abject poverty. Yet the ANC executives are all rolling in money and a lifestyle of luxury: fancy cars, huge mansions, and in the case of Jacob Zuma his sexual needs are his priority - raping a family acquaintance, marrying an additional wife every other year! All the ANC big shots sit on the boards of the mining companies including the former trade union leader, Cyril Ramaphosa, who is now described as a "businessman". No, CPP does not want to become like ANC, taking power for power's sake and betraying the people.
Second, you must also study the emergence of the progressive governments in Latin America. In every single case, the new leaders won power from very rich forces that had ruled the country for a long time. The new governments were made up of an alliance of workers, farmers, and all struggling people. It wasn't money that brought the ruling parties of today in Latin America to power! Rather, speaking the truth to the people and organizing from the grassroots level and having a very principled agenda of democracy and social change. CPP needs to avoid people who will betray and serve the interests of the moneyed class in NDC and NPP. We must form alliances, yes. But based on good principles and genuine leaders who will serve the people not the moneyed elites - who need no help and can take care of themselves with all their stolen loot.

People go into politics for one or all of these three reasons, POWER, FAME and MONEY. I have been to South Africa many times and have witnessed the blatant corruption and arrogance amongst the political elites and the surviving life of hopelessness of majority of the people. It is even worse in Namibia, Angola and Zimbabwe. In any case, you need to have power either in the parliament or from presidency to achieve any significant changes if it can ever be done. In Ghana, NPP and the NDC have dorminated the political infrastructure to a point that it is impossible for financially broke and a no name folk like Aguddey or Dr Sakara to make any meaningful impact. Use the son or daughter of Kwame Kwakye, Azuma Banda, Gbedema, Dr Limann, Dr Nkrumah, Kwasi Nduom himself or one of his children as a start. Famous names like Kuffour, Akuffo Addo, Mahama, etc, matter in politics. What good does it serve to have pure and holistic nkrumahist few with no possiblity of ever getting more than five seats out of the 275 and no chance of the presidency? At least there is a possibility for a son or daughter of Kwame Kwakye with enough resources to win a seat or two for the party. In Singapore, South Korea, Burma, India, Pakistan, Bush, Clinton, Romney, etc famous names help. We must find a way to reach out to Nduom without anymore foolish pride and work together for a way better way forward. Nduom is only making a fool out of himself with his disguting and pathetic PPP. Both parties have no chance untill we wise up and come together for the common good!!!!!!!

ANY SENSIBLE LEADER WHOSE ABYSMAL PERFORMANCE HAS COME UNDER THE SCRUTINY OF CONCERNED WOMEN'S LEAGUE MUST BE CIVIL AND RESPOND IN A MANNER REMINISCENT OF RESPONSIBLE LEADER.

IF I WERE YOU I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN STUPID TO PUT BORROWED AND MY PROPERTY UP TO VIA FOR A POSITION I HAVE LESS THAN 00000.1% CHANCE OF WINNING.
WHAT THE CPP HAS TO DO, WHICH MANY SYMPATHIZES HAVE ADMONISHED THE RANK AND FILE OF THE PARTY TO DO, IS TO WORK TOWARDS GAINING MORE PARLIAMENTARY SEAT TO BE A VIABLE PARTY WITH CLOUT - INFLUENCE TO EMPOWER THE BASE OF THE PARTY TO ENGAGE IN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.
EDUCATED ILLITERATE NDUOM DID THE SAME AND CONTINUE TO DO THE SAME STUPID THING. HE HAS MONEY TO WASTE. I WILL SOON JOIN RANK WITH THE PARTY AND OFFER MORE CONSTRUCTIVE ADVICE TO MOVE THE PARTY TO THE FORE-FONT.

Great comment. We all have to volunteer and help in whatever way we can. The Chairwoman alone has no magic wand to do everything. In the first place, people forget, she is a wife and mother and was even also looking after her nephew (Sekou's abandoned son who sadly died recently). People are not even offering her their sympathies for her loss but starting this campaign of hatred! O Ghana, after everything Dr Nkrumah did for you, you now turn and hate and attack his surviving daughter just because of some people's political ambition? Those who hate Samia are not Nkrumaists. The woman is competent, considerate and incorruptible. We must defend Samia against all intrigues, internal and external. Because the forces that made the 1966 coup are the same people who want to see CPP divided and fighting and never successful.
What is everybody doing to help CPP? You check the website of CPP UK & Ireland or CPP North America and the website hasn't been updated in months if not a year!!! What's going on? Even simple web maintenance we can’t do? Yet people will go on Ghanaweb and insult the Chairwoman and executives. We can't be do-nothings and complain and blame others when we lose. Let all true CPPists work for CPP now and support our executives. Sakara can go and form his own private party so he can become President without blaming anyone for his failure.
