Why should a NGO take responsibility for establishing Moblie Libraries while the Government wastes public fund for entertaining foreign heads of state, dictators and so-called dignatories? Yes,indeed the MOE is put to shame big time cause it has failed the Ghanaian public with literacy!! I will contact the group and donate volumes of books plus audio visuals to fight illiteracy in Ghana.meanwhile,Mr.Hayford Siaw can contact me:mmoasem1965@yahoo.com for book donations asap.

Yes we don't have functioning libraries, be it public libraries, professional libraries or school libraries. While New York City alone has hundreds of public and school libraries.
And then we turn around and lambaste our students for flunking BECE and WASSCE.
Or wonder why we don't discover new things or invent new things, or why our politics stinks as bad as our unsanitary environment.
And waste time arguing about whether the fault lies with going with O'Level or JHS/SHS; 3 years or 4years, or whether SHS education should be free.
A nation that does not invest in education, is a nation that does not read, that does not think well, that does not compute, that does not observe critically, that does not write well, does not imagine and visualize, and that does not engage in life-long learning. Can't our leaders see that we are mortgaging the future of our nation with our lackadaisical attitude towards how we educating our young people?
This is outright unconscionable.
We might as well shut down the Ministry of Education.

Well said Mr. Ampadu. It's just a big fat shame on the part of our leaders especially the minstry of education. No minster has ever ever advised any gov't in power to have a library project whereby every school from KG to SHS should have a well equiped library. All they care about is $50,000.00 car loans and housing and other freebies for ministers and stupid MP's.
My wife and I have collected books to donate to our community library in our town in Accra. Thank you and may God bless you for your charity work of collecting and donating books.

Mr Ampadau, thank you so much. I personally think we should seriously think about building the small enclaves we live in. As the government has no desire to do anything for the greater good. Look at the speed they pass bills or legislations that benefits them. Their relatives and children get the best education so the can't worry about the rest of us.
It's so shameful that in this day and age a lot of kids are not able to go to school because we don't have free education, and those who are able are getting inadequate education. This is scary and sad at the same time.
I guess we will one day realize the disservice we have done to our nation when crime increases exponentially and when our nation slips to 4th World if there's anything like 4th world.
