President Yayi Boni had the ears to listen to wisdom. No wonder he likened President Mahama to King Solomon.
In the president's speech was a direct message to investors. He identified the areas that will attract investors and promised to tackle them head-on.
1: Human resource capital
2: sanitation
3: security
4: societal love for all.
without these conditions, we can promise all we can, but trust me, no investors will come till we solve the issues listed. Remember Mungo Park?
let me give you one example;
our beaches are littered with waste polythene bags and "you mon know"! who do you expect to come in to setup beach resorts? the Mosquitoes alone will stop them from coming. Let us all put our thoughts together and tackle the 3 listed points and some other more like good drinking water, 24/7 power supply, good roads and drainage systems, and I promise you, the Investors will come.
Enough of this book-long zee-zee theories and big titles that we have nothing to show for.
President Mahama, your wisdom and humility will let you succeed. God Bless you, your family, and the country at large.
Insha- allah

The forex rates are a lot worse than the wire rates and the banks and western union charge an arm-and-a-leg in admin fees. If you want to get more 'bang for your buck', find someone in ghana that also has a US account outside. You deposit the money into their account, they then give your relatives ghana cedis at a pre-arranged price. I've done it for a few people...It benefits me (slightly) but also helps the person in ghana since more money is going into their pocket vs the banks.

When Rawlings came to power it was five cedis to one American dollar. When he left it was ten thousand cedis to one Dollar. Kuffour brought it one to one, now its going back the PNDC and NDC way again. SHAME ON GHANA.

Pitch the cedi against the gold price because that is our competitive advantage. JAK K4 confused Ghanaians with zeros economics.

How can you be proud of a stat that no one believes? Forget about your political views but this inflation rate has been unrealistic for years. The rate is truly closer to 20%.
