Stupid fool, go and ask the people from other tribes that live in Ashanti. Do you even know the beginnings of Abedi Pele? It was a full-fledged Ashanti man S.K. Mainoo from Kumasi who took care of Abedi Pele from his teenage years until this man died. Nyantakyi is an Ashanti of Northern extraction, you sucker, if you don't know. Braa Akumah, why should this old stuff feature in today's world? You are feeding those who are pushing this to happen by your comments.... Who benefits when we still hold onto the past? We need to move forward and not be looking back all the time to pay people back! After all God knows the reason why He puts our eyes infront and not at the back of our heads... That is what our fore-fathers did and African did not see much progress. For Christ sake we are living in a new era and why should I fight a war that happened ages ago that do not benefit me if I hold on it? You see gone are the days that we are prevented to marry some one from the North or South due to ignorance and foolish prejudice.. We need to STOP this and argue on merit. Wasn't Dede invited? He was!! So where is this crap coming from of phasing him or the two out? We should not give amunitions to anyone who seeks to sow seeds of discords amongst us...This is an old tactics that the colonian masters used to conquer and divide Africa and we are still playing with that? Let us wise UP!!!

Brother Mc. you have got a truly discerning mind. You are also a true patriot. Football and our national teams, in particular the fortunes of the Black Stars, are the main sources of unity and national identity amongst Ghanaians. More especially so given that we are still licking our wounds from a political event which has divided and continue to divide the good people of Ghana. So it is very unfortunate that the narrow minded tribalists are trying to bring their bigotry into what in all respects is the uniting force for our dear country. How I wish we had more Ghanaians with your mentality. Our beloved country would have seen itself march confidently forward towards progress and development. Bravos.

Andre Ayew will be subjected to a late fitness test ahead of Olympique Marseille’s game against Sochaux on Sunday.
The 23-year-old is nursing a hamstring injury sustained during last week’s training with his club.
The injury which was expected to keep Ayew out for five days saw him fail to make the Ghana squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
He rejoined his Marseille teammates at their training camp in Morocco on Monday night and is said to be making a remarkable progress with his recovery.
The son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele has already started light training and will be critically assessed a day before Marseille’s trip to Sochaux.
“We must treat his (Ayew) injury as he continues to work alongside the medical team,” Marseille coach Elie Baup says.
“Every day provides an additional element. Saturday we’ll see how it is for Sochaux, we cannot say today. ”
Ayew’s recovery will provide a massive boost to Marsielle’s title ambitions as they are tied on 38 points with PSG and Olympique Lyon at the top of the French Ligue 1.

Braa Akumah, the coach has given all players a date to report to camp. Dede's was extended, meaning, enough time was given to him to report which the player failed to do so. The rule that was placed on all the players was that when one is not fit, he wouldn't be allowed to participate in the tournament. Yahaya Mohammed was affected by this same rule. Andrea sent a message to the GFA which the coach is part of it, that he is hurt and it is the reason of his delay to camp. Now, with all these rules, an extension given to Dede, what do you want the coach to do in this case? How is the coach going to benefit by taking an unfit player to such a physically drained tournament? What result are you expecting the team to come out with when taking such players?
Don't forget, the coach was an assistant coach when 2006 and 2008 his bosses, Duya and Leroy took the same decision you want Appiah to take today. Stephine Appiah was taken to the 2006 AFCON when he wasn't fully fit. The result was bad. Habib Mohammed and couple of players were taken to the 2008 AFCON. That too didn't go well.
Is the coach not a human being? Doesn't he think to change his decisions from the decision that didn't help his two bosses? If 2006 and 2008 such decision didn't help us then, what makes you think it will help us now?

JORDAN DIDNT DESERVE TO GO TO AFCON 2012, NOR IS HE MERITED TO HAVE GONE IN 2013. 4 GOALS IN 17 APPEARANCES IN 2012/2013 IS VERY APPALLING. JORDAN IS NOT EVEN IN THE TOP 20 STRIKERS IN THE FRENCH LEAGUE ONE. THEREFORE, IF WE WANT THE BEST FOR GBSTARS, WHY INVITE JORDAN?

I think its irresponsible journalism like this that affect our relationships in ghana(politics, tribalism, football etc) . What is the evidence that the Ayews are being targeted? Jordan is not the best striker we have. In spite of his doing well in the frech league he has failed t impress in a ghana shirt, the same way oduro and waris failed to impress. of all its jordan who has been given more chances so why the bruhaha? Now about Ayew which coach would tolerate this nonsense? you snub all the technical team and youre asked to apologise and you dont, until youre given publicity and a formal warning! Then we invite you to camp, you are released by your club and you insist you cannot make it until last day! which coach would take this? Would he have done this had a white coach invited him? Guys we now have our own coach and we have to respect him and support him. we all know how much of a useless coach plavi was and appiah is 10 times better! He has identified a host of new players and we have a great future ahead of us. lets support our own and stop using cheap journalism to divide us. Lets not make any tribalism issue about this. Ghana is a blessed country, inspite of our differences we tolerate each other. lets not spoil what we have!!

From whereever you may be please join us in prayer for an early exit of the Black Stars at AFCON. A group of us will gather in a prayer circle in Los Angeles on the 19th and 20th to pray for defeat of the Black Stars at the AFCON tournament.
We are true Ghana patriots who believe that the current atmosphere in Ghana, which breeds hatred and tribalism in sports and politics, are not good for the nation.
We believe an early exit for the much-beloved Black Stars will open people eyes and start the healing process regarding the real cause of our problem, which is picking bad and selfish people for key leadership positions.
Please pray for defeat so that we take one step backward to jump two, three, four steps forward.

Following the developments on Dede's exclusion, I want to believe Dede is not sure of shining this time around at AFCON. The injury in question is not one that should have made him ask for those days and even failing to be present after extension giving; a special treatment given him. He just wanted to be with the club and successfuly wove himself in the calculated absentee scheme of the club. Now he is in Morroco to play for the club after their camping. I don't know what he is scared of but I think it has to do with the massive eye on Atsu, Kwadjo Asamoah, Gyan and the few whizkids that might overshadow him. Remember he does not want to be substituted.
