It is very absurd to leave out Jordan Ayew an emerging key player who is so brilliant on football field. And I think leaving out Jordan is the reason why Dede failed to join his colleagues at Abu Dhabi.

Joe lets stop talking about the Ayews ok. It doesnt help. Rememeber that we got to the finals with an u20 team when mutari, abeyie, essien and appiah were absent even though they were at their peak! Its about the spirit in camp, the togetherness and the determination to work for each other. This is what made Zambia win the tournament with only no big names!!! Zambia left their biggest name striker at home bcos of disciplinary reasons and they still won the toutrnament. Brother Joe, trust me when i say that this team will go further than the last afcoon when we had all the bog names present! We have a blend of young and old who are under no pressure, the spirit in camp is very high now and Asamoah gyan asamoah, badu, boye etc will help the young ones like atsu to excel. This is our tournament!!!! Please support Appiah bcos he is far better than Plavi who was earning $30,000 a week!! This is our own country man who is only earning $2000 and has already won the all africa games. lets give him the chance after all only ghana coaches have won us the cup!! lets not use tribe or our differences in opinion to divide us. No one hates ayew! we all know his commitment to ghana but this time he attitude is not helpful even for team unity. we will definitely do better without him than with him. mark my words!!!

That is correct. Mother Ghana is tooooooooo Big for any small spoilt brat to take for granted. Whether we excel or not at this year's competition should not be a yardstick to measure Coach Kwasi Appiah's competence. All the players going merit their call-up. SOME PEOPLE "died" a little for our dear nation in the 60's and 70's, so we dont need anybody to hold us to ransome.

i'm disappointed with kuffour. what does he mean atsu stepping into the shoes of dede? their style of play and attitude are different.
the players who have the capability of giving ghana's midfield the needed fluidity as has been missing for a long time are atsu, wakaso, and solomon asante provided the coach does not restrict them unnecessarily to the flanks, while allowing the too rigid agyemang badu, kwadwo asamoah and to some extent derek boateng too much unnecessary room in deep midfield.
